o.O
This is in my journal so i dont loose it!
I might have missed stuff too.

Ok Im 14 so sorry for any misspelling i make.

Ok. Ive lived a lot of my life with my mom having MS.
It did effect our lives when she was disgnosed. She wasnt able to do much with me. we did however do whatever we could together.
She was diagnosed i now forget how long ago with secondary progressive. She was told she was going to be put in a wheelchair in a few years. But she believed she could make it. and guess what? Shes still walking. And now she doesnt use her cane anymore except for times when shes really tired. she just proved them wrong!
She takes injections for her ms. Which must suck >.<
Anyways..like 1 or two years ago. my dad started getting sick. Now we didnt know what was going on it was all at once..he couldnt think right and he had bad balance. we put him in the hospital and the doctors told us it was a disease that made him have to much fluid on hes brain. that it was not deadly and they could drain the fluid every once and a while and maybe do surgery. After that. We found out the surgery wouldnt "work" because he was to bad off.
Now..Like a few monthes later. my dad, not knowing what he was doing(he couldnt think right remember) He left us. He went to move in with hes sister in Quebec.
He was sent to a hospital In quebec and the doctors told him that it was MS
My mom didnt believe then of course. Come on. He had bad memory..tiredness..bad balance..and it was effecting his brain the worse. How could that be related to ms?
Anyways..We lost contact with him in like October. And what we didnt know was he was getting sicker.
Now I dont know when..but probably like november..he was put into a group home because right then he could not think at all. he was incompetant.
In about January He was in a wheelchair. he couldnt do anything for himself anymore. he was put into a group home for People with MS and in wheelchairs.
Now..By now. if you didnt see him every day. he would probably forget about you.
though whats such a miracle..he remembered me..though he hadnt seen me since June 2005. he remembered me.
He use to always talk about me to the nurses. though he forgot EVERYTHING else..I was the only thing he talked about. he had pictures of me over hes bed untill the day he died. though he didnt remember how old i was. all that matters is he remembered hes daughter. and thats amazing
He spent his days playing solitare on the computer since he didnt remember how to do anything else.
at some point. he lost the ability to talk.
Then about a month before he died he couldnt eat..he couldnt swallow anything.
Then a week before he died..He couldnt drink at all anymore.
He died June 22nd 2006.
He was diagnosed with Degenerative MS Apon autopsy.
now. me and my mom Asked a neurologist about Degenerative MS. and they have NO idea about it. Which i find a little dumb. Since its so deadly..my dad lived about 2years with it! He died at 47 from it!
What i know is Degenerative MS effects 1/100000 people.
It starts in the brain and it slowly makes its way down your body untill well..you cant do anything. and you slowly die
Most people die about 3years after diagnosed with it.
Its a rapid form of MS. And if the doctors had seen it quicker(the doctors here for sure) they would've been able to treat it..and maybe my dad may have lived longer.
What i dont like is that i didnt know anything about all this going on..i find all this out the day of hes funeral.
My dad suffered with it..not knowing what was going on. at all.
Now. me and my mom had researched it..and we found nothing about it.
Its a shame that people that may be living with it. may not know it..since the doctors here diagnosed my dad with this totally different Disease..that made no sense since my dad had a normal amount of fluid on hes brain.

I wish that people would be aware of this type of MS..though its Rare..it doesnt mean nobody ever gets it. I know. I know someone who had it.
Now its just me and my mom. My mom had a MS attack April 2006. which made he imobolized for a long while.
She has long now better from it. and is doing well. I find shes actually doing better now. She isnt as tired anymore.
