you could never make a promise
you always had to swear
promises are made to be broken
you always said
but i could never tell the diffrence
between a promise and a swear
if a promise is a lie
then what is a swear?
you swore you'd always love
that you'd never make me cry
you swore you'd never hurt me
that you'd always be there by my side
but now i'm lying here tonight
with a heavy heart and saddend eyes
i now knoiw the answer that lies
that a swear is a promise
