How to make Kraft dinner
By: Summer
When making Kraft dinner, it’s very important to have an actual package of Kraft dinner. Also have some music on stand by because, you will get very bored. But you may be wondering “why would I, make Kraft dinner?!” well, why not? Its yellow, cheesy, it’s delicious!
First off, take the package out of where ever you store it in your kitchen. Hold it out in front of you and admire the sailor navy blue, and imagine how much you are going to enjoy this. Now you’re motivated.
Also put a strainer by the sink, it will come and handy later...
Rip off the cardboard lid, and remove the cheese packet. You will know it is the cheese packet because it is the only packet in there, and it says “CHEESE” on it in big bold letters. Put it now to someplace where you will not forget it, where it is safe from boiling water and away from the side of the counter because your pet (if you have one) will find a way to get at it. Nothing with a heart beat can resist powdered cheese.
Now, get a pot and fill it up about 5 inches away from over fowling (use hot water, it helps somehow). Place the pot on the element (or stove) and start it up! Wait till the water starts to boil, this will take about seven minutes. While you’re waiting, sprinkle in a bit of salt. Now turn up that music and dance like mad for the next seven minutes.
Seven minutes later…
Now you may notice a bunch of bubbles about to flow out of the pot. Do not touch them; they may look playful, but NAY! Leave the bubbles alone, and take a spoon and begin to stir the water in the pot. The bubbles will go down for about a minute and then you must stir again.
Now get your beautiful blue box, and pour in the noodles and set the timer (yet again) for seven minutes.
You can continue to dance around like mad, but be sure to stir the pot every few minutes. Or it will over flow, and find its way to the cheese packet…which is not good.
Seven minutes later….
Now your noodles are good and cooked! Turn off the element, and carefully take off the pot, and walk toward the sink. Grab the strainer with your free hand and pour the contents (of yummy-ness) of the pot into the strainer. Give it a good shake and get all the water out.
Ok, so pour the noodles in the strainer back into the pot.
Find a surface in your kitchen to place down the pot. It’s important that the surface can take the heat and won’t melt or be damaged. (Or just lay down a cutting board. it works)
Once you found the proper surface, put down the pot. Now go rummage through out your refrigerator and find…
-Milk
-Butter/ margarine
Now take a spoon full of butter/margarine and stir it around. Then (finally) grab your protected cheese packet and pour it into the pot. Stir some more. Now add in some milk, while stirring.
Stop adding milk when the cheese doesn’t look powdery anymore (do not let milk fill up the pot at all)
Stir some more, Ok, so find a plate/ bowl and pour on as much Kraft dinner as you like. The rest can be put in some Tupper wear container and saved for any other day.
Be sure to grab a fork because it’s easier to use when you get towards the end of your Kraft dinner and you can stab the noodles individually.
Don’t forget…
ENJOY!
