Current musics: Final Fantasy 7 - Mako Reactor

So, a GMFC auction came and though I tried hard, in the end I couldn't compete... at first I was discouraged, but now I'm energized! It's like losing gave me more drive for next time, a more definite sense of a goal to achieve. Now I've been there, I've bid hard, and I've lost... so I know what it's like.

The goal now is the next auction - with art by Anya. That would be so perfect, since Anya is the artist of the Fa'e... although I've no doubt that any of Kamiki's guest artists would do a brilliant job with Riven and Ghlyssa's kid, Anya doing it would just be perfect. whee The art styles would match, she knows Riven and Glee really well which is another huge plus, and... Anya's art is amazing. I love her art more than almost any other artist on Gaia.

So. I'm going to re-evaluate the quest funds. JadeEye helped me buy a bunch of donation letters with some of the pure gold, and I need to re-assess my funds and make sure I know exactly what I have. (A few people, who will remain anonymous, have graciously offered some extremely generous aid for the auction in case it's needed - although I will work hard with my own assets, knowing that there are lifelines available really helps. n_n heart )

We can do this. I say 'we' because the quest has really been a group effort. Whether it's been a donation of funds, items, or just of good wishes, a lot of people have helped me. n_n And I have to thank Sundraygn for being so cool about all this, which was planned before she took Ghlyssa's Guardianship.

So. My goal is clear - Anya's appointment is it. Until then, I'm not going to spend ANY gold on ANYTHING. No art, no breedables, no mini-shopping, no Gaia items. I'm going to keep working with the plushi shop, and once I finish my Tamashii commitments and the Sidhe Draoi pre-re-opening work, I'm going to see if anybody would hire me as a guest colorist to raise extra gold.

I'm actually looking forward to it. whee
