Every Sunday I am going to post a review about a game I am playing, played or up and burned to a crisp because someone who shouldn't be making video games...is. This Sunday is the 1st one and I will be starting with a RPG I am playing. Here goes...
SUNDAY GAME REVIEW
ALUNDRA - PSX - WORKING DESIGNS
ALUNDRA - PSX - WORKING DESIGNS
I have recently started playing this game and my first thought was of Zelda: A Link to the Past. However, as I played further into it, it grew on me more and more and became it's own game. You play as the hero Alundra who happens to be able to merge into people's nightmares and free them from them. Very interesting story as you progress and meet new characters and interact with familiar ones. As you progress the puzzles become more difficult, yet always maintain a fun feel. The game in it of itself is wonderful.
The graphics are not good by todays standards, but they are classic RPG graphics and frankly, I would give up great graphics for a great game like this. I like the music as well, to be honest it has a bit of a Nocturne or Digital Devil Saga feel to it. The game play is awesome. It's an action RPG style like a Zelda game, where you hit a button and Alundra attacks, it also has a hold down and charge your attack element in the game.
This game is a classic and if you like RPGs, especially for the PSX, this better be in your library now or soon...it's just that damn good.
