A glimpse of that golden hair,
a flick of that tail,
she beckoned me in with her finger,
and that lingering secret smile.
I took a chance and took a dip,
following till our path did end.
I didn't think it would be like this,
rewarded with a mermaid kiss.
Did she know, my first it was.
She must have, if only because
of my widened eyes and surprised look,
This time, I, was caught in the hook.
She grinned, and swam back to the sea,
Leaving me as confused as I could be.
I still remember it to this day,
The details, haven't faded away,
How it was sort of salty, but still pure bliss.
I didn't think it would be like this.
Yeah, it sucks, I know. I blame lack of inspiration, and or lust.
