Still captured by her beauty
As she takes the Rose of Passion
A smile plays on her lips
Like sunshine at the dawn
In a moment it all vanishes

Friends creating a world of our own

I’m finally able to pull myself
From the gutter and fly away
She held on to me to long
I need to be free
I’m a living and breathing
Thing, not something you can hold
For dear life
I’m free of this material world
I don’t need to be held for safe keeping
I don’t need your protection
I need to spread my wings and take flight
To where ever I need to go
I’m free finally
Who knew this day would come
She let me go but I feel so alone
I have no place to go
I want her comfort and protection again
