Can I talk about how much I love this band? Because I'm gonna talk about how much I love this band.
Especially about how much I love Takuya, the singer. UGH. I love him so much. He was my first celebrity crush I swear.
Disclaimer: I'm going to say UGH in a number of ways in this entry. You have been warned.
Now I know a lot of people were introduced to UVERworld by anime like Bleach and...that's all I know actually LOL But that wasn't the case for me.
I actually discovered UVERworld on Gaia waaaay back in 2005 or 2006. Someone's profile had the music video of CHANCE! And I was absolutely hooked!
So I thank the nameless Gaia user who introduced me to UVERworld because they have been number 1 in my heart for over, what? 15 years? Did I do the math right? Idk, I majored in English and yet I still have trouble with that too lol
You know how k-pop fans go nuts over their k-pop idols? Or any fan going nuts over their favorite pop singer? Like this
That's how I feel with UVERworld, only I do so in the comfort of my room cause when I get exhausted, I can just plop down onto my bed and pass out xD
Now I can just post all my favorite songs of UVERworld, but then that would be their whole discography and make this journal entry waaaay too long and I don't think you guys have the patience to read all that. So I'll name 2 more of my favorites and end it at that. No need to fangirl too much lol

I honestly don't know what to say other than I grew up listening to this type of music and it just pushes all the nostalgia buttons and makes me feel so goddamn happy. Ugh. I love UVERworld.
This last one is one of my absolute favorites and is actually one of their slower songs called 君の好きなうた or Kimi No Suki Na Uta.
Takuya starts out with his sweet singing voice and then he brings out his rap mixing in with his singing and it all just flows so well uuuuggggghhhhhhhhhhh. The strings, the guitar solo, the drums, UGH. And when the saxophonist comes back to the band in the live version.
I still remember all the lyrics to this song. I love it so much.
Nowadays, UVERworld incorporates a lot of auto-tune into their music BUT if you watch their live videos, you can see Takuya holding TWO microphones. One is a normal black one and one is a white one. The white one is for when he wants to use auto-tune and he switches back and forth between them so you KNOW he be singing LIVE.
In conclusion, I love UVERworld. They bring me such joy from childhood to adulthood and I am forever a fan.
