there's a ringing in the distance
but your alarm hasn't gone off
you fight with resilient resistance
but it's still going to come up

another night with your friends
gone the way they want you to go
drowning any attempt to try and mend
whatever chance you had to stay in love

well they hook you up with drinks
they turn your attention to the east
and soon you find a place to sleep
with the first asian boy you dare to greet

so now you're back to square one
and you still haven't found a place to crash
so you let out all you gotta throw up
and with it the chance of a life we use to have
