Who can truly say what the value of life is?
Do I deserve the love and kindness that's offered to me?
Why was I put on this Earth?
I feel as if I only cause pain and misfortune to those around me...
Is there nothing I have to show the good I have done for mankind?
Or is my own kindness a farce?
The people around me making me think I've been doing good for them when in reality I've been nothing but a burden?
The darkness in my heart...
It surfaces whenever I face the harsh truth...
It scares me...
Makes me want to return to the safety of my mother's womb...
In the middle of the night, I lay curled up to protect my heart, when all it does is suppress the darkness inside of me...
Life...
Seeing it being formed, stitched so carefully inside of a woman's nurturing womb...
It dispels the darkness within and illuminates my heart to others...
In the warm smiles upon the faces I help, I see hope for the future...
But the darkness that wishes to quell the light lurks around the corners...
Waiting to make its move...
Humans must make a stand against the darkness and protect each other from the darkness...
One person at a time...
The fears will disappear...
One day, we will live with hope instead of fear...
Until that day comes, I will fight my battle against the darkness in my heart...
