The first picture displays them before I placed them in the oven. I rubbed an egg wash on the tops (as you can probably tell by the spills) and had yet to make ridges on the edges of them. The picture below it displays how they turned out after they were baked.
It probably took me around two hours to make them this time. I altered the recipe by using only butter--no margarine or shortening (as always), no peppers (because we didn't have any, otherwise I would've used one), no thyme (didn't have any), no breadcrumbs, and then some things were added (like Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce, oregano, and onion powder) plus the portions were additionally altered. For example; I didn't use a full pound of beef or an entire onion. I'm used to making the pastry part, so I'd say I only spent about twenty minutes on those alone. The bulk of my time was probably spent cooking and seasoning ground turkey and ground beef since I wanted to do half-and-half along with filling the pastries with meat. Baking them honestly only took about ten or fifteen minutes.
In the end, I yielded fifteen patties and split them into two trays. There still ended up being more beef ones, but that was fine. They were very good! ^^
