Alba follows a high-protein, low-carb organic diet that features low-starch fruits and vegetables including blueberries, and she or he avoids processed food. Jessica, who's a household history of obesity, began cooking when young to adopt control of her diet.
"I started cooking for myself at 12 just because a lots of food my children ate was processed," she told Women's Health. "I wanted fresh. I eliminated microwave foods, things with too much salt, and attempted to eat natural food, issues that were cooked in a very kitchen as opposed to a factory."
'I Have Cellulite, Stretch Marks plus a Muffin Top'
Alba, who shot to stardom in 2000 after starring inside the TV series "Dark Angel," is recognized as one in the hottest women in the world, but she's uncomfortable along with her sex-symbol status. "I know that my looks were my path into Hollywood, but I never really enjoyed the level of attention that is included with the [sex-symbol] image," she said.
Ironically, the brunette beauty said being a mother made her more at ease with her sexy image. "I'm finally comfortable in my own skin," said Jessica, 33. "I can embrace the idea of being a sexy and self-confident woman."
While her lean, athletic 5-foot-6 physique could be the envy of numerous women, Alba claims she gets cellulite and stomach fat, and has learned to embrace her imperfections."I do not have the body of your 14-year-old anymore," she said. "I have cellulite and stretch marks, and I use a muffin top! I think the harder we try not to have that unrealistic ideal, the happier we'll be."
Jessica has begun rebranding herself like a health and fitness guru. In her book, The Honest Life: Living Naturally and True to You, she offers tips about fat loss, exercise, happiness, her organic diet, and her favorite recipes.
In 2012, Alba launched The Honest Company, which sells organic, eco-friendly health products. Broadening her horizons professionally has enabled the Latina stunner to take pleasure from acting while having quality family time. "Before I started my loved ones, acting was my total focus in life," she said. "I have different priorities as being a mother."
