As we leave your friends place
and I cruise behind you cause I got there after work
I feel my heart pounding as if I just ran to you the same way I ran to my car to get to you faster after I got off work.
And I feel a smile creep its way onto my face

You're gonna make me feel things I haven't felt in a lifetime it seems.
But I'm thankful.
When we got to your house we shared laughter,
God I love to hear you laugh. And I love to hear myself laugh because I feel like I never do.
But you always make me fight to stifle it as we play with the black little baby.

I knew the day I saw you,
There was something special about you.

This is still new.
But I like it.
And I'm happy taking things slow and I'm excited to see where they go.

Jay thinks we're in love because of how we sit and how we talk.
I think it's okay not saying anything either way,
As long as you know you've got me by your side.
