Minority survivors with annual incomes ≤$40,000 spent a greater proportion of income in total out of pocket and direct medical out of pocket costs (31.4% and 27% for survivors with incomes ≤$20,000; 19.5% and 18.8% for survivors with incomes $20,001–400,000), versus their Caucasian counterparts (12.6% and 9.2% for survivors with incomes ≤$20,000; 8.7% and 8.2% for survivors with incomes $20,001–400,000). 32
