A keeper of hearts,
Adrift on the sea.
If I let you be captain,
will you sail away with me?
I'll give you my hat
and maybe my coat,
just promise me one thing:
to keep us afloat
the waves may be choppy
we may damage the sail
but with you at the wheel
there's no chance we'll fail
I'll be the first mate
and our hearts, the crew
an unstoppable team
we'll sail straight and true.
But have faith in me not;
I can't change who I am
before I steal your heart
you might want to scram.
I'll always be a pirate
claiming hearts as I sail on
and to you, I'll be a memory
a dream of time foregone.
A keeper of hearts,
Adrift on the sea.
you'd look good in my hat,
but it's better on me.
