I'm still feeling a little tired after finally relocating my home. I was able to salvage a bunch of stuff that I found at the abandoned home and they still look new miraculously! Waking up from a nice stiff, slightly soft bed, it took me a great effort to get out of bed. I didn't want to do anything today, but I hate being unproductive.

(One hour later...)

Finally managing to sit upright in my bed, I look at the time. "0900... getting a little late," I mutter to myself, still figuring out what to do this morning. I lazily get up and walk to the kitchen to retrieve my Black Iron Teapot, fill it up with water, set it on the stove to boil, and sit and ponder as to what I'm going to do. I'm so focused on thinking that I fail to realize the water was already boiling until the water started to over boil out of the teapot. Whoops! After taking it off the stovetop, I open a bag of a green tea mixture I had received when I had a deployment into Asia. The smell of the dried leaves and burnt rice was quite refreshing and reminded me of nighttime peddlers/food stands on the streets of Songtan.

I bring the teapot out to the living room, pour myself a cup of tea, set the teapot on the table and sit down. Thinking of this tea made me think of how much fun I had in Asia. I did a lot while I was there. Eating was definitely the thing I did most, but I also did quite a bit of learning. I learned that the local people that lived there were a really conservative people and if you just smile at them to be nice, they actually think you think they're dumb or something is funny about them. I was also fortunate to see a shop that sold fishes to eat or to have as pets. I've seen a tank with five octopus in it curled up in a ball ready to be bought and eaten. I've seen weird looking rockfish, things that look like enormous scallops, and other more popular fishes for pets such as arrowana and koi... Koi...? I looked up in front of my front door and saw the fishing pole that I had mounted over it. I remember hearing rumors of rare fishes to be caught in the lakes of Gaia. I've fished here before, but have never caught one. Smirking happily as I finally decided what to do, I got my fishing pole and a set of F,D, and A baits, I set out.

Thank goodness the lake isn't that far away from Barton Town. I lazily walk out of my house and to the lake. It's the same as always down in Barton Town. Vibrant and full of life. Different kinds of characters everywhere. It doesn't seem to be very hostile in Barton Town, but there sure are a lot of people bearing arms. All types of weapons. I don't get it. Maybe it's a fad? Nearing the front gate, I slowly walk past the Art Arena where I've seen many great Avi's go head to head with each other. Maybe I'll go and take a look again one day.

It's a nice cool day walking down to Bass'ken Lake. It's probably about ten minutes away from Barton Town. You know you're close when you see the fishing shop, or as the Old Man Logan likes to call it: "The Ole Fishing Hole." I didn't stop by the shop today however. I got everything I need for today to catch whatever rare catches I come across. Logan was outside looking at passerbyers however. He's changed from the last time I've seen him. He's gotten pretty big. Wouldn't mess with that old man. He waved and smiled at me and I waved back, feeling good. I'm certain I'll get something rare and valuable today!

There are many piers to choose from at Bass'ken Lake, many of which was taken and populated already. Looks like I wasn't the only one that decided to go fishing today. I walk down the smooth, green grass and see a pier with someone on it near the end. I decide to check that pier out. There was a girl sitting there fishing. Well... I thought she was fishing. She was actually falling asleep. Looking at the nametape on her pole, her name was swuffybunny. I said, "Good morning," to her, but she was out cold sitting there, so I left her alone.

Looking out into the lake, I immediately set my pole up, get the bait on the hook, and throw out my line. I haven't lost my ability to cast out my line. It went out a good 100ft. I had a fair amount of catches with my first two buckets. I got some funny looking catfishes, a bunch of koi, a pile of trash, and a ton of goldfish/guppies. Nothing rare yet unfortunately, but as soon as I finished my second bucket, swuffybunny got up and left in a hurry! Well, I hope she's not late for an appointment or anything. Third bucket and I pretty much got the same things. More catfishes than koi if anything that time. As I was setting up my next bucket, someone came and sat down next to me. lam pig was his name. He had greeted me and I returned it and we both fished silently for a little bit.

My fourth bucket wasn't so great. I got a whole bunch of small fish that time! Boo! In the middle of my fourth bucket however, a girl named _rawr_green_xp came and sat on the other side of me and started fishing. She didn't look like she knew what she was doing. She had a Beginners Rod and constantly cast her line out and looked frustrated as she reeled her line back in with nothing at the other end. Shortly after this, the pier I was on started to become populated. ShinYiuHan and x-Eliza Chan-x decided to join us. They didn't really say anything. They just started fishing. Then at that point, rawr was asking for help because she couldn't get any fishes. It was a strange sight to behold. She would cast out her line, then lost the fish as soon as they bit it. We gave her all kinds of tips. Move the rod slowly, try to keep the fish in the middle... But she just couldn't get it. She finally had enough was about to give up, but we stopped her and told her to keep trying. After about ten minutes of trying, she finally gave up. She got her things together and invited us to play a puzzle game. lam was interested and got his things together, but I was determined to get my rare catch and declined.

Finally getting my fifth bucket together, the girl that ran off earlier came back! swuffybunny sat farthest away from me this time. After she came back, I talked with everyone about rawr. We tried to debunk the reasons why she was unable to catch a fish. We just couldn't understand it. I thought it was funny that she wasn't able to catch a single fish. One mentioned that after a few tries, she should been able to get the concept down. I ultimately said, "I don't know if trolling or...?" I thought it was funny. If she comes to the piers again and we come across each other, I hope I can help her further to get a fish!

We talked about a lot of things while we were fishing though. Someone sneaked past all of us though and sat next to me. Her name was cutester. She was a little like rawr, but more patient and eventually caught something. She was a silent girl. Someone mentioned something positive about her avi though. It's a nice avi that she worked hard for. She's really nice, but after I took a good look at her face... She had this look about her that kind of said, "AHHRGHHHHH FEESHIE FEESHIE COME TO ME!!" Check out my memory link. You'll see what I'm talking about xd

After a while, I was getting hungry, so I told everyone that I would be back so I can get something to eat. As I started to walk past everyone, I heard someone mumble under their breath, "...eat koi... mmmm..." I went to a restaurant nearby somewhere to get some food. I had some eggs with cheese and ham, cauliflower, peas, carrots, and fried fish. It was pretty good, but I vacuumed through the food because I wanted to get my rare catch! When I got back, everyone was still there, along with lam pig, and another person that joined us named hellokitty10220. When I came back, I asked everyone who said something about eating koi. swuffybunny looked at me funny and said, "I ain't saying." Hmmmm... I think it was her because after I mentioned that, her and hellokitty started talking about eating koi and French fries o_0;;

We all talked and laughed about many things, but it was getting late and I decided to leave. The rare fishes that I wanted had eluded me, but the catch I received was rarer than any of the fishes in the sea out there... er... lake I mean... The rare catch I got was meeting the new friends that I had made at the pier. The memories made with these Gaians are rarer than anything that I can catch out here and shall be forever recorded in this journal. Hopefully one day, I'll come across them again one day, but for now, it's time for the gym. Gotta slam those weights!
