❖ History: ►Early Years: Hotaru was born and raised by a disciplined clan made up of Samurai warriors. Her clan was well hidden deep within the corners of the darkest woods(most Eastern side of the world) where her people were able to safely thrive and survive. As tradition, Hotaru, amongst her young peers, were trained within the art of combat by their elders. Life seemed almost perfect for Yuna as she continued to support her clan; her home.
►18: The girl soon learned that peace and harmony was never everlasting. Hotaru's life was turned upside down soon after the downfall of her clan. In the dead of night, her elders were ambushed; each civilian wiped out by a behemoth known as 'Xekix'. As fate would have it, Hotaru was the only survivor of her people, she escaped in the nick of time before any enemies could even notice.
►20: Hotaru had spent an entire year in solitude within the Wastelands. Her training for survival in the past had proved useful in her current struggle to live. The remnant memories of her bloody past would always linger within her thoughts, thus, driving her towards her goals. Hunt down Xekix and avenge her clan.
As days would pass, Hotaru heeded a particular tale her Elders had once mentioned: A being who walked the plains fulfilling his duties as keeper of the forests peace. She has spent many weeks searching for this man and seeks to gain his aid on her quest for revenge.
❖ Abilities: For now, Hotaru is only aware of what her elders had taught. She's proficient with her katana blade. As far she is aware of, she harbors no magical powers as of yet. In the dead of night, when the moon shines brightest, Hotaru finds it that her natural senses and physical prowess improves profoundly. Normally, Hotaru is agile and swift. Her mind must always be in a state of balance in a fight, thus, allowing her to perform a Heavenly Mountain Sword Stance, which constantly circulates a type of internal energy to accentuate constant movement in battle. Using this practice, Hotaru can evade attacking enemies and/or nimbly move about in the battlefield. She is incredibly flexible and stealthy when she needs to be. Her level of martial arts is comparable to her elders.

This katana, which Hotaru has named 'Mizuki', the only material object she holds dear. The weapon comforts her as it reminds her of the clan she once loved. This blade weighs heavily at an astonishing rate: causing any bandits to fail if they were to steal Mizuki. Acting almost like a seal/ or curse, only those individuals with the Kasumi blood coursing through them are capable of holding and wielding the katana(Mizuki) with ease.
