Each species gets their own set of stats used for gaming. Depending on the type of animal, they have their own advantages and disadvantages. It’ll take planning in order to formulate a complete team. Familiars do not get their own stats and cannot contribute to the stats.
Strength: Physical Power [ST]
Speed: How Fast [SP]
Endurance: Long Lastings [EN]
Intensity: Pure Passion [IN]
Agility: Quick Paws [AG]
↣ ADULT STATS ↢
↣ ADOLESCENCE STATS ↢
Adolescence are now old enough to participate in games. Their stats are roughly half or less than their corresponding adult stage. They may train and earn stats as well. When they reach adulthood, the adult stats will be added to the existing adolescence.
[Ex: Adol ST= 2 Adult St = 5, Total after growth ST = (2 + 5) = 7]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, those numbers are great and all, but what do they mean? Well, there are five stats which contribute to certain attributes.
Strength and Speed = Offense
Intensity and Agility = Defense
But, where does Endurance come in? We'll get there in a second.
As far as the Kikombe game goes, let's break down Offense and Defense.
✖ Offense : Shooting, Passing, Checking (aka tackling)
- A progressive move that tries to push the game forward.
✖ Defense : Blocking, Stealing, Checking
- A controlling and play stopping move.
Essentially it's a cause and effect type of game.
✖ Examples:
- A lion tries to shoot a goal. The goalie then tries to block it.
A Cheeton tries to pass the shell, a defenseman attempts to steal it.
A Hyena tries to check a Wild Dog, which tries to block it.
Offense vs. Defense
✖ But how do I know what the difference is if I want to do something that's not mentioned above?
- No problem! It's attacking to reacting. Bring it back to Pokemon, the soa attacks and its opponent counter attacks.
✖ That's great, but where do strength, speed, and all that other stuff come in?
- Here's where math makes its debut. Don't panic! It's super basic for less confusion.
Offense: Strength + Speed
Defense: Intensity + Agility
If one soa's offensive stats are greater than their opponents defensive stats, then the offense play wins. On the flip side, if the defensive stats add up to be greater than the offensive stats, then the defensive play wins. Of course, this is without the dice coming into play. Stop it! Don't you worry! This is just a simple over view, I'll go into more detail further down the thread.
But hold up! Remember the Endurance? Endurance is a pretty sweet stat for multiple reasons. Where as Strength, Speed, Intensity, and Agility are affected by dice rolls, Endurance is not!
Which means, a soa with a higher Endurance will have a higher percentage of success rate. (whoop, Leopards!)
