Name: He no longer recalls his own name. Age: 27 Race: Human Sex: Male Height: 5 foot 9 Weight: 162 pounds Appearance: Appearance Bio: At the age of five a boy was sold to a traveling martial arts master in search of an apprentice. Not because he showed excellent talent or hidden potential. Simply because his parents were poor and looking for money, while the master was in search of a young boy. A chance meeting was all it took to seal the boys faith.
When he left with the master the boy cried himself to sleep and during the day he walked as if he was in a trance. During this time not a single word of comfort ever left the masters lips. He only ordered the boy around to clean up and keep up. If he fell while walking he would only hear a stern word to get up. After around three weeks the boy finally spoke again, he asked for the masters name. The reply he got was not what he expected: “I have no name and as off now neither do you, you are my apprentice and I will address you as such. You will call me master and I will teach you the martial arts style my master taught me.“
As the years passed the boy followed his master everywhere, joined him when he practiced and trained his body, watched him fight opponents and fought opponents himself. Each day he soaked in the martial art style his master practiced because that was all he had to do. Each night apprentice and master talked, about martial arts, about culture and about life. The boy learned a lot and as he got older his training intensified, he fought more opponents while his master sat at the sidelines. He was being pushed harder and further with each passing day, building up a body and mind fit for a martial artist.
When the boy had become a man and his body and mind had become strong, the master started teaching him more complex techniques. Each day he practiced and etched his masters techniques deeper in his body until they became a part of him. Finally he became able to perform his training without any more thoughts, his body moved out of its own after years of repeated exercise. When he told his master about this, he simply smiled and told him it was time to work on his qi, his inner energy.
Because he was able to complete his training without thinking about what he had to do, his master told him to focus his mind on sensing the flow of energy in his body while it practiced. Many days and weeks passed before finally the man was able to sense his own inner energy, his qi, it started out as a faint sensation but as time passed it grew stronger and stronger. It grew so strong that he now felt his qi every minute of every waking hour. From that point on, his master started teaching him how to control his qi and how to direct the flow. The first thing he learned was how to prevent his qi from leaving his body, enabling him to preserve a vast amount of qi inside his body.
As more time passed and the man had learned all he could from his master, it was time to part ways. Their last night together they talked until daybreak, about martial arts, about culture and about life. The old master had started addressing his apprentice as master and asked him to take up an apprentice himself when the time was right but before that, to improve their nameless style. Both new and old master knew that they would never meet again, the old master would find a place to settle down in silence and the new master would travel the world.
For several years the new master travelled around and improved upon his martial art, these travels, eventually brought him to Barton. Abilities: The nameless master his gained control over his inner energy, his qi, while it would normally overflow and leave a normal human body, he is able to prevent it from leaving his body and is able to preserve vast amounts of qi inside his body. Doing so has granted him increased martial arts prowess, he is faster, stronger and tougher then a normal human being.
The biggest benefit, he finds, is the increase in toughness. Blunt force trauma that would cause internal injuries with normal humans are minimized to bruises and possibly broken bones. The damage from cuts and possibly lacerations is also minimized but to a lesser degree, powerful swings can still cut of an arm or his head, but most cuts are minimized to a quarter to half an inch in depth.
Besides controlling his inside his body, he’s able to control it outside of his body for a certain distance, one inch to be precise. Doing this has enabled him to develop two offensive abilities with qi: - When using an open handed style to fight, the nameless master extends his qi from the tip of his index and ring finger to form a sharp, thin and vibrating triangle. This enables him to cut through the same materials as a regular blade, but because of the vibrations and how thin it is he can keep cutting. A blade can cut through wood for an inch with a strong swing but will stop, his qi can keep cutting through that wood without any effort. - While using fists and feet he can use his qi to extent the punch or kick for an inch with an almost explosive result. The power and speed with which this happens can be compared to a clean hitting haymaker.
Given names: Cavnir, meaning courage -- Samayou Tamashii
