Fear my power, Charge: Lloyd can power a variety of wingly devices chiefly his sword and shield with energy generated from his own magic. When used with Balmung and Aegis the draw is on his power is negligible but still takes a lot of concentration to manage on such a fine level. When used on other devices the draw on Lloyd's power is directly proportionate to the device's power consumption, This is particularly useful when there is no magic power left in a wingly device that needs to be operated. There are a very wide variety of things he can power but on a daily basis he can't do much more than kick start a Skitter. After that he needs to get a proper rest, something that doesn't come easily in the military.
My most Loyal companions Balmung: A sword fashioned by a wingly intending to introduce a new standard issue weapon, when Lloyd uses his charge ability on it Balmung crackles with the energy stored and is released using a button on the swords hilt. While the energy is stored the sword doesn't do anything special but when it is discharged it coats the blade and allows it to cut through anything, this only lasts about ten seconds after which it is basically just a long sword. Aegis: A medium shield manufactured by the same wingly that made Balmung. When holding a charge it can deflect any attack including magic, although things like bullets only get their trajectory changed and large objects really deflect Lloyd not the other way around. When discharged it emits a single shock wave that can forcefully knock back most opponents caught in front of the shield about ten feet. If either item is struck during recharging the charge is lost. Recharging takes just a moment of time and concentration but Aaron is completely exposed during that moment and he rarely chooses to recharge in the midst of battle if he can avoid it because of this exposure.
This is my story, Lloyd grew up with his brother Aaron in the wingly lower class. Unlike his brother who enjoyed delving into the dark underbelly of the wingly world, Lloyd had the ambition to become a knight so that he could carve out a better life for himself. So naturally once he was old enough he enlisted in the wingly military and began his life as a career soldier. Early in Lloyd's career some wingly weapon-smiths approached him in order to test out some new tools that they had hoped to present to the military to advance the cause, but the project was canceled in it's final stages. The weapons had been deemed too expensive to mass produce. As an apology for wasting Lloyd's time and skills on the unique training procedure, he was permitted to keep the completed weapons Aegis and Balmung. Afterword Lloyd worked diligently and moved up the ranks until he achieved his goal. Even though Lloyd now loyally serves as a wingly knight he aims higher still. He is ever sharpening and honing his skills and constantly trying to prove himself on the field of battle in the hopes that someone above him will take notice. He of course still keeps in touch with the men who made his tools so that he can get them repaired and tuned when the need arises.
This is who i am Lloyd is a career soldier and as such will follow any order given by a superior no matter how absurd it is, the only exception to this is the order to kill himself, Lloyd believes that the right to give such an order lies solely with the Royal family. Whenever he is given an order or task Lloyd will personally see to it that the job gets done and done right the first time, this makes him relentless in battle and a difficult pursuer to shake. Beyond all that Lloyd is very kind even to the slaves (when he isn't ordering them around) and a joyous person all round. He holds his liquor well and is happy to drink anyone under the table. Although Lloyd has a soft spot for his brother he won't disobey an order for Aaron's sake.
