Kekkei Genkai Name: Kowakutekitan (Alluring Tongue)
Specific Requirements?: The Kowakutekitan is a kekkei genkai that is developed at varying speeds per the individual. It is passed on only by members of the Futatsumayu clan, be it to descendants or outsiders who wish to learn and believe they have the fortitude, stamina, and chakra control to handle the process. Such a process takes years, regardless of latent ability. From the moment a member of the clan or an initiate from "the outside" is old enough to walk, their elders will periodically take and split the youth's tongue down the middle, as far back as possible to the base. Afterwards, the elder performing the split will manipulate the child's chakra to encourage the body to accept and develop two tongues, as well as establish separate chakra channels for them. Users of the Kowakutekitan bloodline have a physically fit body, but beyond that there are minuscule differences in that particular shape of body.
The Kowakutekitan bears a curse. In exchange for what might be heralded as the ultimate shield and spear in terms of genjutsu, all bearers of the kekkai genkai are doomed never to rise to the ranks of Kage and eventually go mad themselves in light of this knowledge. Most take to very simple and demeaning tasks to ease this burden on their minds, and even if they never actually become shinobi of any level, this bloodline develops so that eventually all they can tell are lies.

Kekkei Genkai Ability: As its name implies, an individual who possesses the Kowakutekitan is who is, at surface level, a decent liar. What makes the kowakutekitan unique aside from simple tongue splitting is the manipulation of one's chakra to develop that specific muscle for further deceiving adversaries. It is this manipulation that requires the shinobi to constantly hone their skill in the deceiving art that is genjutsu and the maintenance of their own supplemental kekkai genkai to that art. At a genin level, the value is just about surface level. The shinobi merely appears to be a decent liar. As the individual progresses through the ranks, this deception delves far beneath, capable of fabricating webs of lies so convincing that it is said none can tell the difference...regardless of what falsities may be uttered. Its ability lies in successfully deceiving both non and bloodline technique shinobi, the latter of which usually specialize in seeing through falsities. Because all the eyes might see is the truth of the lips moving, the technique works through the ears and vibrations. It is also capable of sensing other genjutsu based techniques through "tasting" them. As use of Kowakutekitan mandates the user to be speaking, the tongues are exposed and often extend outwards from the mouth much like a snake's tongue flicks in and out. In "tasting" it, they are able to sense the presence of genjutsu and how it works, defeating it in mere moments. This has been shown in the past to work even against much more experienced practitioners of such jutsu.
In what might be seen as either an improvement or as detrimental, use of the Kowakutekitan is through verbal use only. One cannot utilize an instrument to carry their genjutsu, as most non-bloodline genjutsu techniques utilize such to do so.
Kekkei Genkai Appearance: The only appearance of the Kekkei Genkai is also its giveaway, which is a deeply forked tongue. Continuously split and nurtured with chakra, the tongues continue to grow throughout the shinobi's lifetime. Even as early as a young jounin stage, the length of their tongues can extend out to lengths of their torsos.
