Well, today starts day two of the personal journal. I will inform everyone that you may take these posts in any way or form you want but please, and I urge you, no negative comments.
I begin by saying that I have just woken up and the current time (for where I'm at) is 12:03 p.m.
Throughout my life I have always noticed that no matter where you are, wether it be in a big city, or a small one-horse town, there is always a potential danger of someone severely hurting you, taking your children or loved ones, or breaking into your house/apartment/trailer. Wherever I go, I always have a knife on me. Saying this, I hope nobody gets the impression to go out and buy everyone they know a knife of gun, but I do urge people to please, never let yourself be in a situation where you would not know what to do while you are in a situation that I have listed above. To clarify, don't let yourself get hurt. Always have homeowners insurance, car insurance, and life insurance. This, of course, is for the older and more responsible adults that can actually afford these types of things. For people like me, being 18 years old, please have something to protect yourself and those around you at all times. Pepper spray, a baton, something to ensure yourself and put yourself at rest that no one will try to come within 30 feet of you.
That being said, having something to protect yourself isn't enough, you also need to know how to use it. I carry a knife with me, and having been grown up on constant fighting and a variety of martial arts, I know how to use my assets (i.e. knife, hands, feet, etc...) in a close-quarter-combat cituation. I do urge people that if you can find a cheap martial art to take, whatever it may be, take it, even if it is only for about six months, maybe a year, whatever you do, it will help.
To summarize, always be able to protect yourself, because I don't care where you live or who you are, the unexpected will always happen, and that's why I'm prepared for it.
Thank you and I will repost either later today or tomorrow.
Sincerely,
