Oh how the time had flow by. Before Keidel had known it she and Keith had flown off to Berlin. They had spent two weeks in the grand city. Touring around and learning about the vast history. They had enjoyed gelato. Shopped in large malls and sat in Alexanderplatz and watched the birds while enjoying a guitarist sing a romantic song. Yes the trip had been amazing and Keith and Kei’s friendship continued to grow and blossom. Though the time had ended and the pair had flown back across the ocean, boarded a train and returned home.
Needless to say many people were shocked upon their arrival back into the valley. Though the pair only stayed for a week to gather up their belongings before moving to Belvies College. Keidel’s parent’s had been so happy to have her back that they were fine with the idea of her going to college. Though Kei knew when she was back in the valley on a break she would have plenty of questions to answer as her friends seemed about to burst.
Now moving into the dorms had been a job and a half. Boxes upon boxes of stuff lined the hallways as girls bustled about, cried when their parents left and generally felt down. Keidel hadn’t met her roommate as of yet, which was fine by her, and continued to unpack. During her brief time at home Keidel had sewn herself six throw pillows edged and decorated with lace, to put on her bed to make it seem more like home. Also, instead of using a white board to have people leave messages in front of her room she had taken a tack board and using scrap book paper had fashioned a cute card that said “Keidel” on it. It covered the top of the board, leaving the bottom half free for people to leave notes with the provided note pad, pencil and cute thumb tacks.
Keidel hadn’t seen Keith since arriving at the college. Due to the fact he was also busy moving into his own dorm room. Brushing some curls back from out of her face Keidel let out a sigh. It would be different attending classes and what not away from home, even though she was use to being away from home due to Keith’s and her adventure. “I must just be maturing and growing up.” Keidel whispered to herself as she looked around her half of the room. This was true though. Keidel had realized many things during her adventure and was now working on becoming a stable, mature young woman as she entered into college.

Keith’s muscles contracted as he sat the last of his boxes down in his room. Wiping his brow he observed his progress. A simple blue quilt covered his bed. His desk chair was set up and his laptop was open and plugged into the wall. His clothes where folded into draws and his jacket was hung in the closet. “Perfect.” He muttered as he sat down on his bed. Being at Belvies College was such a change after spending the summer touring Germany with Keidel. It was also different not being in the same room, or even building as her. Though nothing had happened between them Keith missed her company. Keith was also concerned about the possibility of another college guy sweeping Keidel off into the sunset. Though he doubted Keidel would be swayed so easily, it could always happen. “Females are hard to understand after all.” He commented into the empty room.

After what seemed like hours of unpacking, even though it had roughly been just two hours, Keidel had her room set up. Everything was where it should be. Her tack board of pictures, mostly containing herself and Keith from childhood to the most recent pictures from Berlin hung on her wall by her bed. Sitting down she grabbed her lap top off of her desk and logged into her messenger. Seemingly as soon as she was online she heard the familiar bing sound or her receiving a message.

Keith: Unpacked yet?
Keidel: You know it!
Keith: Great. Have you met your roommate yet?
Keidel: No, sadly. She hasn’t shown up yet. Maybe she’s not coming and I get a room to myself, yay!
Keith: That would be great. =)
Keidel: Yup, so are you done unpacking?
Keith: Yeah, I was done an hour ago.
Keidel: You had less than me...
Keith: Haha, how long did it take you?
Keidel: I just finished and came online.
Keith: I see... Your room must be snazzy.
Keidel: It is indeed. wink
Keith: Can’t wait to see it on open dorm night. biggrin
Keidel: Awesome! I’m going to the cafeteria to see if they have any snacks out. See you there?
Keith: Ok see you there.
With that the pair snapped their laptop lids shut and headed to the cafeteria.

Sitting at a round table that was unoccupied Keidel nommed on an apple that she had been able to snag from the cook. Looking up as Keith approached she smiled as she rolled an apple over to him. Sitting down Keith picked up the apple. “Thanks, looks good.” He said before biting into the juicy fruit. “I can’t believe we are in college already and classes start the day after tomorrow!” Keidel commented. Keith nodded his agreement. Today they had moved in, tomorrow was orientation and the next day was the first day of class. It was a big adjustment. “Where not in Kansas anymore.” Keith commented with a grin as he winked at Keidel.
Nudging Keith with her elbow Keidel laughed at his comment. “Everything is just changing so quickly.” Keidel commented seriously, her brown eyes turned to Keith’s as worry radiated from them. “Hey, we will be fine. Where both here after all.” Keith reassured her with a soft pat to her head. “I suppose...” Keidel said as her voice trailed off. Still unsure about the whole transition. “You will be feeling more confident about it in a day or two. The first days of transition are always the worst.” Keith reassured her. After the pair finished their apples they looked at each other, unsure what to do now. “How about we check out the library?” Keith offered as he didn’t want her going back to the girls dorms, where he couldn’t go. Smiling Keidel rose to her feet. “That sounds good.” With that they began the small adventure of trying to locate the library.
