I went ahead and put down money for this apartment yesterday. It's not the greatest place (no laundry facilities or dishwasher, no pets allowed, rather on the small side, I have to pay electric and water and sewage), but it's right down the street from where I'm going to be working. The lady renting it is actually the grandmother of the guy I was in marching band with who used to give my sister trumpet lessons. Go figure. Small world and all that. It's mostly underground (the windows are at ground level), so I'm calling it a hobbit hole. So I'll be moving soon after I get done with this position in mid-April. Woo.
Moo told me today that Diana Wynne Jones has died. This greatly saddens me. First Brian Jacques, now her...quit dying, awesome British authors! :c
