Grave's imagination
Hey did you know....

What's the meaning behind the name of Grave Raven?

If you jumble the words a bit, Grave meaning Death. Turning to Death Raven

Then you switch the two words around which give Raven Death.

And if you add a single word in there changing to "Raven Of Death"

I picked this name ever since I was in high school. If you have watched the old classic movie called "The Crow" then you might surely understand it's meaning.

In a legend, ravens are described as the vessels for the dead souls. Ravens bring the lost souls to paradise or people would call it 'God's Land'. A non-stop traveling little beast.

What about crows? People would probably think that their the vessels of the avengers of death.

Think of this story:

A man and a women were bound to be wed and married soon. But on the night not far from Halloween, the woman was raped and violated before the man arrived. Both of them were murdered.

On the day of Halloween, a crow sitting on the dead man's grave. Resurrecting the guy to give him a chance for his revenge. A second chance if you may. This man took this opportunity knowing now that he was immortal....or was he? As long as nothing happened to the crow which contained his soul, he always will be. The crow was always nearby, watching every actions that was being unfolded.

The man hunted down the murderers, which lead him to an organization group. He didn't want more people suffer from what he was going through, and decided to took them all out as well.

He hunted all of them down one by one until the last one was last standing. But that guy somewhat knew about the legend of the crow. Just as the man killed the last one, the crow had been shot, turning the immortal man, back to normal, but his body was covered with bullet received throughout the night. Being nothing but a normal man now, he could feel the pain of his wounds, feeling himself drawing to death once again.

Returning to his grave, he saw the tombstone of his beloved wife to be. Feeling himself that he managed to turn things to right and felt at peace. Leaning on his beloved's tombstone, he died once again, but this time, finally reunited in the afterlife.

This story has always fascinated me. Who knows. It could be a legend. A myth...or maybe it's a truth that no one really knows.
