It's not really what it used to be. Before all this consumerism and overspending, it was to celebrate the birth of our savior. Now, I'm not an obsessive christian (not even sure that I HAVE a religion), but I do know that I believe in god. One of my atheist friends celebrates Christmas. I asked her, "Do you know what Christmas means behind all the presents and santa and food?" She thought for a while and said no. I told her that it was about Jesus' birth, and she didn't believe me! And where did Santa Claus come into the picture anyway? We went from the world's savior's birthday to a fat man in red bringing all the little boys and girls presents. So confused. xD
