It's snowing today. Brr. It was warmer and rainy yesterday.

I went home for Thanksgiving and spent the night at Gram and Papa's. Thanksgiving was the usual two dinner at each grandparents' house affair.

My car might be burning or leaking oil. Scary thought.

Work's been okay, although November was a pretty crazy month. The OBB training on the 9th had a decent turnout although one of my volunteers didn't show up, but my OVP regional work group meeting on the 23rd only had three people attending. And there was even an article about me in the paper that mentioned it. Sadness.

I broke down and unblocked texting on my phone. It's Moo's fault for not being online.

I'm trying to remember what I was reading/watching the last time I logged in. I really need to catch up on Bleach. I decided to rewatch Saiyuki, but I stopped with three episodes to go (not even mentioning the two sequels). And I also rewatched some of xxxHOLiC, though just three discs of the first season. It's odd of me to not finish something. I've been reading more Mercedes Lackey stuff - I read the first book of a trilogy she wrote with James Mallory and started on the second, but then a story idea took hold of me and I've been working on researching for that ever since. Basically it's a fantasy with three races (Elven Folk, Spirit Folk, and Fair Folk) set on an island shaped like a turtle on a very weird flat world that's more East Asian than European in flavor. With magic and psychic powers, of course. I'm still working all the technical bits out. Usually I get ideas for characters first, although sometimes world-building grabs hold of me (Ynys Kasa, for example, although it's been a while since I've done any work on that world). Anyway, it's been fun, and I hope this creative spurt continues.
