The Confrontation
"It's time..."
Riku stood on the top of a skycraper, watching the city.He could feel Roxas approaching and he knew the battle would begin soon.Rixa appeared, exiting a portal and walking towards him.She put her right hand on his shoulder, comforting him.
"Rixa...You didn't have to come.I don't want you to watch this fight", he whispered to her.
"I have to watch, Riku.What if something goes wrong?"
"Then it was meant to be.We can't change certain things, Rixa."
"Please...come back to me.I don't want to lose you."
"Rixa..."
All of a sudden, a slashing sound came from below them.Roxas had run into a group of Neoshadows and he was fighting them off.When he finished, he looked up and saw Riku.He began to run up the building, hurling his other keyblade at Riku, who jumped off, bidding Rixa farewell.She watched as he fell to the ground, catching the keyblade in his hand and waiting for Roxas to come down.Roxas had reached the top and looked down to see Riku.He hadn't noticed that Rixa was there.His focus was entirely on Riku.He threw himself off, heading straight for Riku.Neoshadows had begun to materialize, surrounding Riku.His head throbbed, memories of Xion running through his mind.The Neoshadows charged him, but Riku slashed at each of them, holding hs head in his left hand.Roxas had landed near him and both of them eliminated the group of Neoshadows.They turned to face one another, careful in case either one attacked.They talked with each other, discussing events and Roxas' plan to come in contact with Kingdom Hearts.Rixa couldn't catch every word of it.She was far too worried about how things would turn out after they began to fight.In a moment, Riku and Roxas charged at eah other and the battle begun.Rixa covered her eyes.She just couldn't bring herself to watch two peope she cared about fight each other so viciously.
"Why is this all happening?Things weren't meant to go this way..."
The ringing of th keyblades clashing rang in her ears.Stop it, stop it, she repeated to herself.Then the sounds ceased and someone dropped to their knees.Rixa looked down, seeing that it was Riku who had dropped.Roxas approached him, ready to end it.He charged, but Riku blocked it.Roxas fell, his hood falling off and revealing his face.Riku thrust the keyblade into the ground and turned to walk away.Roxas opened his eyes and yelled at Riku.They spoke with one another again, Roxas still angry at Riku.He charged again, both keyblades in hand.Riku barely blocked it, dropping to the ground.He said something, and lifted himself up.Roxas watched as Riku took his blindfold off and yelled.Dark pillars surrounded him and when they disappeared, Ansem was there instead of Riku.
"Riku...you didn't!No, no, no!"
Riku-Ansem disappeared and materialized in front of Roxas, who was in shock.The heartless behind Riku-Ansem grabbed Roxas, squeezing him until he lost conciousness and dropped the keyblades.Riku-Ansem let him go and put his hood on as DiZ appeared.
"It was necessary, Riku."
"DiZ, he could feel Sora..."
"Feel?That's ridiculous.A Nobody can't feel anything."
Rixa had reappeared close to Riku.She took his hand in hers and smiled at him.Riku knew she was sad, but he didn't say a thing.He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead.
"This is why I didn't want you to see this..."
"Riku...You're still you.Even if your appearance is different, it's still you in there."
"Rixa..."
"What's going to happen to Roxas?"
"He'll be put somewhere safe.", DiZ said, "He won't be found by the Organization any time soon."
DiZ disappeared, taking Roxas with him.Riku and Rixa looked at one another, thinking about what would happen next.
"Rixa...our troubles are just beginning.Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Nothing you say is going to change my mind.I'm going with you, Riku.I'll never leave your side..."
"Just stay with me.Together, we'll make the Organization pay for all the pain they've caused."
"Yes.Maybe Axel...will see that what they've done is wrong too."
"You'll see.Everything is going to be different from now on, Rixa."
"Let's go."
