Appearance: Shiro appears to be a young teenage boy with a slim build. However, this slim body is deceiving for he is much stronger than he appears. His hair is chestnut brown with random raven black streaks and is short in length but is long enough to cover his eyes and ears. His eyes are a gentle shade of amber, just like his mother's, though occasionally hints of deep crimson appear near the outer and inner edges of the iris. These traits show that, just like the people themselves, his parents' genes were far to stubborn to settle on any one color to pass on to their son. He usually wears a standard shinigami uniform though the sleeves of his are several inches longer than his arms. He wears a white sash around his uniform with his zanpakuto tucked at an angle on the back of his waist. Shiro wears a silver ring on his right hand along with a silver skull ring on his left.
Personality: When describing Shiro there are few words that would best suit his personality, though the most commonly used would be cold. Shiro isn't the kind of person who likes to be open about his emotions nor does he enjoy hearing others complain about how they feel. He enjoys strategy based games, such as chess, which he used to play with his parents long ago. This love of strategy is useful in battle as well, allowing him to stay several steps ahead of his opponent when possible. He also likes reading books on any subject which is why you can usually find him reading when he isn't working. His favorite genre of books are mysteries, though he also enjoys fantasy adventure books as well. It is widely known that he has a bit of an ego since he treats most people as if he is superior to them in one way or another. When on a mission he will do anything to accomplish it, including leaving fallen comrades behind without a second thought.
Zanpakuto: In its sealed form, Shiro's zanpakuto takes the form of a chokuto sword with a blade that is around two and a half feet in length. The hilt and scabbard are wooden with a design that is sleek and smooth, fashioned in a rectangular shape that appears to be one piece of squared wood when the blade is sheathed. The hilt and scabbard are fully white with a thin black line stretching from one end to the other. The blade of the zanpakuto is thin and jet black with dual sharp edges that are silver.
Zanpakutou Spirit Description: Shiro's inner world is within a dark, dense forest. In the center of this forest is a large lake glowing with a white light. Upon the surface of the water are several white lotus flowers. In the sky are hundreds of bright stars and a black moon. In the center of the lake two female figures are standing upon the water. The first woman has long silver hair that is blood stained. Set on her head is a crown of sharpened bones. Around her eyes bandages are wrapped, two wet stains of blood appear on the white bandages. A stream of blood runs like tears from behind the cloth and down her pale, cold face. Her lips are black and she possesses fangs like that of a vampire. She is wearing a tattered, strapless white dress that is adorned with bones along her torso and back. Bone gauntlets are set on her hands. This is Byakuren. The other woman is her darker twin, Shingetsu. This woman has long silky black hair that runs down her back. Her skin is rather pale and cold like her sister's though she has a more beautiful complexion. She is wearing a long black dress. The irises of her eyes are silver and her eyes are surrounded by dark circles that make her appear as if she hasn't slept in ages.
The two sisters are incredibly jealous of each other which results in them constantly struggling to keep their powers equal. They are incredibly strange in appearance and personality. They talk in riddles as they speak to Shiro most of the time. These two women are, for the most part, rather maniacal in nature. They live to fight alongside their master, jumping at the chance to fight someone strong. However, if they deem Shiro's opponent unworthy to duel with, they will refuse to give him their power, or even reveal their true form in shikai or bankai.
Shikai: Byakuren Shingetsu (白蓮新月, white lotus, new moon)
"Sing to the heavens and rise from beneath the earth. White petals fall and the moon fades to black. Awaken from the slumber known as death, Byakuren Shingetsu."
After uttering this poem, Shiro's zanpakuto suddenly begins to crack and wither away, turning to a fine dust that spirals around him in the air. Shiro raises his hands into the air as the dust begins to accumulate in his palms in the form of two twisting orbs. The particles slowly begin to form together in his grasp, taking the form of two long hilts. The rest of the two swords slowly begin to take form, soon transforming into two huge, curved Chinese scimitars. The blade in Shiro's left hand is black with a silver edge and the metal appears scratched and battle worn. Near the base of the blade a small human skull is set into the metal with a face on both sides of the blade with the hilt being wrapped in a tattered white cloth that is stained with patches of dry blood. The zanpakuto in his left is just the opposite of its twin, with a silver blade and a black edge. The hilt guard is a ring of black needles that are incredibly sharp but sturdy and the grip is tightly wrapped in a black cloth that appears worn and old. These blades are rather long and heavy, though they are easily wielded by Shiro even for his size. The edges are finely sharpened, making it easy for them to cut through most materials and even some metals.
Shikai Techiniques:
Hone Yari (骨槍, Bone Spears) - With a slash of his zanpakuto, Shiro can send a wave of long, sharpened bones at his opponent that could easily tear through most materials.
Nami no Konpasu (波のコンパス, Compass Wave) - With a slash of his zanpakuto, Shiro can release a large wave of thousands of needles that are all thin and incredibly sharp.
Shin no Ame (死の雨, Rain of Death) - By slamming his two blades together, Shiro sends a wave of energy into the air that soars to the heavens. Within second thousands of needles or bones, depending on what Shiro wishes to summon, begin to rain from the sky. This attack can only be used once during a shikai release; twice if Shiro has already sacrificed one of his blades.
Tsuisuto Kōken'nin (ツイスト後見人, Twisted Guardian) - When attacked, Shiro can stab his blade into the ground which instantly summons a wall of thick bones reinforced by his reaitsu that serves as a shield.
Gisei (犠牲, Sacrifice) - Because the two spirits within Shiro's zanpakuto are incredibly jealous of each other, they are constantly struggling to keep each other's powers equal. By sacrificing one of his zanpakuto, Shiro gains greater power over the other. This allows him to release stronger attacks and even control the movements of the bones or needles once released.
Bankai: Wasure Futago Byakuren Shingetsu (忘れ双子白蓮新月, Forgotten Twins White Lotus New Moon) - When his bankai is released, Shiro turns the tip of his zanpakutos toward the ground and lets them go. The two blades fall into the ground, vanishing as if they fell into water. Black ripples flow across the ground and in their wake two large black coffins wrapped in chains slowly rise from the ground in front of Shiro. When he raises his hands and says the word "release", the chains suddenly shatter and quickly wrap around Shiro himself. The two coffins then open and two female figures step from within. The first woman has long silver hair that is blood stained. Set on her head is a crown of sharpened bones. Around her eyes bandages are wrapped, two wet stains of blood appear on the white bandages. A stream of blood runs like tears from behind the cloth and down her pale, cold face. Her lips are black and she possesses fangs like that of a vampire. She is wearing a tattered, strapless white dress that is adorned with bones along her torso and back. Bone gauntlets are set on her hands. This is Byakuren and though her frame is slim and she is blind she is a formidable foe. She is able to extend the tips of her bone gauntlet's fingers to incredible lengths in order to pierce her opponents. She is also able to release waves of sharpened bones just as she can in shikai. The other woman is her darker twin, Shingetsu. This woman has long silky black hair that runs down her back. Her skin is rather pale and cold like her sister's though she has a more beautiful complexion. She is wearing a long black dress. The irises of her eyes are silver and her eyes are surrounded by dark circles that make her appear as if she hasn't slept in ages. Shingetsu is wielding the same blade she takes the form of in shikai. She is able to summon waves of needles to attack the opponent with. Together the two sister are able to sing magical ballads that have special abilities. In this form, the two sister's fight for Shiro. They cannot be killed though they can be destroyed. However, over time they will regenerate during battle. Their true weakness is Shiro, who is unable to defend himself while he is chained to the ground. The sister's must fight their opponent while defending their master. Any wounds he sustains they receive as well, though their regeneration ability will not repair it.
Bankai Techniques:
Ballad of the Moon - When the sisters begin singing this song they are able to summon a giant blast of white and black reaitsu that they fire toward the enemy.
Shriek of the Dead - The two sister release a shrieking scream that creates a giant sonic blast that is shot toward the opponent.
Sonata of Sacrifice - With this song, one of the sisters are sacrificed. When this happens, all of Shiro's wounds are healed. This obviously can only be used once in a battle.
Abilities:
Skills: Shiro is gifted in hand to hand combat as well as sword combat, though he has no skill whatsoever in the field of kido. Shiro is rather flexible and agile, allowing him to maneuver easily around his opponent with great speed. Though his build may be small and slim his strength is formidable to most shinigami.
