I hug you not because I want to be close to you, but because I want you to know that you're close to me.
And I kiss you not to feel your lips against mine, and not because it 'feels good'.
I do it because it shows that I care.
I don't stroke your hair because I like to touch you, I do it because it shows my affection towards you.
I don't like you because I want something, but because I want you to know you have something.
I don't love you because I 'need' something to love.
No.... I love you because you mean something to me, you count in my life.
I don't write this to be romantic, and I don't write it using a phrase such as, 'it's how I feel.'
It's not how I feel-- it's who I am. Many people, relationships, they only last because of the kissing and the feeling and the touching, and perhaps those things are a key element to any relationship, but it shouldn't be the touch that brings the love, but the love that brings the touch.
How cheesy can one guy sound, how corny can words be? I don't know, maybe this is the biggest load of hogwash ever to spill from my lips but-- people should stop and think.
Muse a little bit,consider the life, not the head on her shoulders, not the brain in her head, not her body, but her in and of herself.
Don't base your love off of what you want, but base it off of who you are.
Most people are going to write something like this.
"You don't realize it, but when you hug a girl, you're loving her, and when you kiss a girl, you're a part of her."
That's not true, not for most people.
When you kiss a girl, you're, either subconciously or otherwise, just doing it because you crave her lips.
Only doing it because you want her body, to be quite blunt. Even when we do it for love, our lust gets in the way, whether you realize it or not.
How about we shut off the TV, and the games, and stop beating around the bush, don't stroke a girls hair because you want her, don't like her because you 'need' her, don't love her because you lust after her, don't touch her so that you can love her, but love her so that you don't need to touch her, and when you do touch her, make sure it's love that drives you, make sure it's because you want to make her happy, because you've got that longing to see that she smiles.
This piece of writing won't change the world, but it's a thought. The next time you go to kiss your 'love,' stop and think about why you're doing it.
Is it because you can't wait to touch her flesh? Is it only to enjoy yourself?
Let's even take it all the way: Is it to be close to her?
It shouldn't be, it should be a comfort to her, a soothing.
Sure, you want to be part of her, you want the feeling to be divided between the both of you, but when you make her happy, it should make you happy.
And if it doesn't, then something's wrong.
I love because I want to, not because I need to, or because I have to, because once you're forced into something, it's no longer a desire, but it's a sacrifice.
Have to move for your love? What's more satisfying: Your love, or your position?
Think about it, if she isn't worth leaving everything you have, then she isn't worth it: period.
