The Stars
Glassy eyed I gazed,
eyes empty,
staring,
attempting to see,
what wasn't before me,
I looked upon the clouded night,
the stars were hidden,
as if blighted,
by the foggy sky,
but I knew they were not,
nor could they be,
These far lands,
just refuse me,
for I do not deserve to see such light,
I am fated to not have this sight,
so try as I might,
I will never see the stars,
that rejected me.
