Oh, what a day bonodori. And I humbly thank the following: Rock Lee, Kyo-Lover, Puppy Santiago, and the Tennis Beast for the best last bonodori of my life before I become a senior and finally graduate from high school.
Sure, it was kind of slow at first ... Going through the traffical hordes of local Japanese people getting through the base gates onto the fields and all, eating at Burger King, and then finally walking around to places while all the while, Tennis Beast complains about wanting to see the SHUWARMA truck ... Did I even spell that right? It's like a Turkish burrito sandwich or something where the people hafta scrape the meat off a gigantical bone-thing o__0
Of course, it was only natural that when she finally gathers up enough hunger to buy a shuwarma [?!?!?!], we meet up with Rock Lee, Kyo-Lover, and Puppy Santiago along with a few others beforehand. Although there were so many people to catch up with, we decided to stick with these 3 and talk about things.
How it came up, I have no freaking clue, but the subject became weddings. And wow, I have some unfinished, unexplained questions to find answers to...
First ... My ideal, perfect wedding ... I can honestly say that I have no idea how it should be for it to be absolutely perfect and of my dreams. But as they want it in detail, this is what I have so far:
A moderately large-sized church somewhere in the tropics where the altar-side wall is of pure glass overlooking the ocean, for I'd like the said church to be somewhat elevated. It'd be sometime in the midday when the sun just passes over the noon mark. And depending on the elegance of the church, the way the sun hits the glass can hopefully reflect rainbows through the crystal prisms onto the church floors and the main aisle, which shall be carpeted in either white for the occasion, blue for mine and my current boyfriend's 2nd/3rd favorite color [for I shall play off his likes and dislikes for this example], or crimson red for elegance. If one wishes to be more delicate and breathtaking, rose petals of red and white may be sprinkled along the aisle. The pews lining the aisle will be "roped off" if you will, with delicate white gossamer and fine lace, bows of blue silk or a delicate turquoise shade tying roses of white or crimson connecting each drooping "U" of lace at each pew.
The color scheme would be [you guessed it] silvery white and turquoisey-blue. I'd get into what flower girls, bridesmaids, and whatnot they would wear, but that's too far beyond my current mental capacity.
And for this, I thank Krunchy for the idea and for the fact that his father pastors at breathtakingly amazing churches in the tropics. Then again, there are a whole slew more of different scenarios I'd like my dream wedding to be located at: A cruise liner, at the edge of a lake, at a beach resort, or, even more out-of-my reach, A Disney Resort. From what Tennis Beast describes to us, weddings done at Disney Reorts are incredibly animated and definately different from a normal wedding. If only the expenses were idealistic too ..
Now, my ideal dress:
[Upper Half]A below-the-shoulders top, silk or gossamer straps only; no sleeves. Forms into a slight V-shape 5-6 fingers below the collarbone. Material for the top shall be made out of cottony-like silk [for I'd hate to hafta feel like I'm sweating lotses or something like that]. It would be done over with the most impossibly lightest shade of blue lace of intricate patterns along with pearls sewn into small designs [Lower Half]A floor-length skirt of white silk with a slight trail onto the ground. Almost like a continuation of the lightest-blue hue of the bodice lace, it'll continue down the skirt until it rounds itself off around midlength [picture Cinderella; the skirt part of her blue ballgown has a rounded-off section from her waist on down towards the bottom of her gown; except with mine, the blue lace curves off to the off-center side] and shall be glittering in silver&blue along the hems. At the waist, it'll hug my curves and bell outwards from there. [Accessories]Hmm ... My arms will have tight, silky white gloves that'll run past my elbows and stop shortly before the below- shoulder straps. Around my bare neck will probably be a choker of coordinating gems if I'm lucky. Hair's undecided, but the headpiece of the veil will probably be headband-to-crownlike in design. The veil itself would be attached around the back towards the center-sides of the veil headpiece so that the veil can hang behind and in front of my face. It would be mde of fine lace&gossamer, lined in white silk, and maybe ever delicately glittered in silver.
Phew ... I never really thought that thoroughly on my own ideal wedding location and dress before, but that's certainly a start. What else was there that I had to answer ... Ah, yes. What my ring should consist of and how I idealstically dream of being proposed to. Let's start with how I'd idealistically like to be proposed to.
Of course, I'd like it to start out with something thoughtful or romantic, like a trip to a high-thrill amusement park with a shtload of roller coasters and whatnot or even candlit dinner at a fancy restaurant. But afterwards, of course I'd like downtime with him, like a walk along the beach at night or something along those lines. Now, from here, I'd like it be a surprise, to come out of nowhere. For example, he'd sit me down to show me a simple magic trick where he has to make something appear out of thin air or transform something into another. If he makes the ring appear or transform outta nowhere, I'd be surely speechless. Or, a witty approach [though it may be frustrating indeed] would be to give it to me in the form of a puzzle box. Y'know from the movie Shanghai Knights how the Chinese father gave Wang a puzzle box where he had to sort each piece one at a time until the image was complete to open the box? As long as my proposer insists upon its importance for it to be opened, I'll spend as much time and patience to solve it without having to resort to smashing it open. If the time comes for me to solve it, the ring itself would be lodged in a cushion of whatever is soft.
In short, something wittingly challenging or physically creative to catch my mind and attention and then suddenly throw me off-guard. I'm pretty sure that's how every woman who's been proposed to felt, but that would get me a lot.
If anything, something simple and cliched such as a normal-yet-special proposal on one knee and stuff is rather romantic to me too, and I wouldn't mind being proposed to in that way either :]
As for rings ... I'll break it up into Engagement and Wedding.
[Engagement]A moderately-thin platinum band with grooves filled with teeniny crystals/diamonds near the main center of the band, where the holder of the sprkling diamond would be encrusted with more crystals/diamonds [whichever is more suited for engagement rings] [Wedding]A simple yellow-gold band is perfectly fine. However, if we're financially flexible, Hawaiian wedding bands of either yellow or white gold with delicate carvings within the band would be absolutely gorgeous.
X___X <--- That's my mind at the moment. I must make a mental note to finally answer Kyo-Lover and Tennis Beast back with these replies.
