Hanatsuko
Bio: Her mother and father divorced when she was 8, and since her mom's a bit psychotic, she never got to know him well. She'd meet him in secret when she could, but she led a very busy life under the watchful eyes of her mother.
Planning it, she found a college far away from her mother, and near her father so that she could make up for lost time. By then, he'd adopted and re-married, so it was different. She found out many things though, that shocked her. She already knew her mother was prejudice against the races that weren't human, but she had no clue her own father was 1/3 demon, leaving her with a good 1/4 of it. She neither knew the reason they divorced was her mothers disgust at him being part of it & having their daughter become part of it without knowing.
She never met his children, but she knew they were tight on money with four children, so as she modeled, she designed clothes for them. She found out that she enjoyed it quite thoroughly, so she changed her major to fashion and business. She graduated early at the age of 20 and had worked for 3 & 9 months before her father and his wife met a 'tragic accident' as the cops told her. Much to her amusement, the kids were left to her in the will.
Since she agreed to keep them, her mother no longer speaks to her, but she could care less. She has moved them from the human area of town to the mixed races side (cities are split in half so they need not interact w/one another), where she's surprised at how kind everyone is despite everything. Having never had a great childhood, she strives for the best for her new children and does everything she'd wished her own mother had and tries to make up for the lack of father they have. Even with such short time, she's come to love the children very much and they seem to get more used to the idea of her as their mother everyday, even if she does make them call her 'ane-chan' (big sister).
Lu Lu & Buns
Bio: They were born to a human mother (bunny father) who didn't want them, so they were then put into adoption where they moved around from home to home until they finally settled down with Hanatsuko's father at the age of 6. They lived with him for 5 years before his death, which they then were moved to Hanatsuko's, his daughter, and have been with her since.
Lu Lu adores the way her mother allows them to choose their own style and especially likes that Hana is always involving them in her everyday life, taking the to work, out to eat, to a park, and trips on the weekends or whenever there's time.
Buns really likes the fact that Hana knows when to be around him and when to get everyone else to leave him be. He really adores her for spoiling him with scientific gifts that he can do by himself, since he likes to be alone, but to make him feel part of the family, she's often showing off what he's done (like his latest grades) and he really respects her for that.
Mickey
Bio: Born to a cat mother and human father, he remembers being adored up until he was 3 years of age, which then his mother fell ill and died. Shortly after his father spiraled into depression, he began abusing Mickey. When he turned five, he ran away from home, and was almost beaten to death in an alley where as then Hanatsuko's father saw the scene, while his wife ran with the kids for help, he was saved. He was then adopted into their family until he turned 7, where as Hanatsuko's father was "in an accident" and then moved in with Hanatsuko.
He wouldn't talk to her for a whole two weeks before she got him to open up. He was afraid of her because she reminded him of his mother. Since he opened up, he's quite the 'mama's boy and follows her like a little chicky when she's home. She adores the attention and spoils all of them in it, but she knows he likes to bask in it the most, so she tries to give him a little extra loving every now and then.
Prince
Bio: Prince was born into a family with 3 older siblings, a fourth that he'd never known, and two very loving parents. Being 3/4th's demon he's a quick learner as most demons and began attending kindergarden at the age of three, so he's very smart for his age. Therefore, from an early age he knew about races and he could never understand why others didn't want to mix (his father appearing very human to him). He also knew that on the side they lived on, the non-human race city side that was split, he was very happy, yet he also noticed everyone wasn't very wealthy. To thank her, he would draw pictures for his Ane-chan every time he got new clothes and was always anxious to meet her as he enjoys looking nice and cute, something she always made sure of. However, there were political issues at the time that prevented her able to crossover without being kicked out of college and the fashion business, so she restrained and though he didn't fully understand, he knew.
Much to his horror, one month before his birthday, his parents encountered an 'accident'. He was able to meet his Ane-chan only to attach to her just as strongly as Mickey had, this was due to the fact he felt nothing but pain and fear. To this day, he will tear up and cry if she is gone too long and only his siblings can contain him. Because of that, (he's two years ahead of his grade), he is always in his brother Prince's classes who's in the correct age grade, for seven year olds.
He is very close to Mickey and follows Mickey around like a little chick. He enjoys spending quiet time with Buns, playing games with Lu Lu, and being curious/daring with Mickey. His favorite thing though, is to spend time with all of them and is known to shout when excited or very happy about their time together. Because of his tendency to throw tantrums when upset, he's a bit spoiled and used to getting things he wants as of late. {they let this go on though because his parents just died, he's not crying and throwing tantrums without any trauma or reason behind it.}
