Yay for the first journal post!
Now that that is past, on to that which is more important... On August 1st, my female rat, Little Girl (whom I adopted from a woman going into hospice along with a male rat, Big Boy) had fourteen pups. Rats can have up to thirty-three pups, though the average is twelve. The breeding was unintentional and my room mate says it was probably his fault as he often had all four of the rats, Big Boy, Little Girl, and my original two male rats, Tripp and Rat (brothers from the same litter) out to play together. rolleyes
Once they are old enough to be weaned a pet shop I often go to has already said they will take them and promised that they will not be sold as food. I will most likely keep one from the litter.
In other news, we are moving yet again, and filing a lawsuit against our upstairs neighbor and the manager of the apartment complex for harrassment and unprofessional behavior that has lead to us having to vacate our home just so that we can get some peace and live away from constant prosecution. Hopefully all will go well with that. I am sure it will, seeing as we have at least three other people who these folks have treated the same way and were forced to move as well. I'm sure the courts will find in our favor and justice will be served.
