I've a goal for the rest of the year. I want to complete my first manuscript, a novel based on a girl that is pushed into a coma by her conniving younger sister. This will show an entire world as the reader sees through Cassie's eyes. Although in a comatose state, her mind wonders to a world filled with oddities, horrors, wonders.
Meanwhile, her family outside the world of Cassandra's mind is debating on whether to simply let the girl pass on or keep her alive with the life support the doctors offer. In an unending dream, Cassie finds herself falling in love, searching through the terrors of her heart that she kept hidden in her life before the accident, and tries to find a meaning in life in her own, lost mind. I'll be posting the chapters and edits as I go on here on Gaia, occasionally transferring them to a DeviantArt account when I feel its all good enough.
I am BEGGING anyone who reads to give me constructive criticism. This fall I'll be heading to college to start earning my degree in creative writing. This is a huge direction in my life that I've chosen and I hope to improve as much as I can.
Just a note, this 'novel' is still untitled, and I'm up for suggestions on what I should call it.
To start out, I'm going to organize the cast of characters I've foreseen as of now, starting with my main character, Cassandra Estelle.
CAST OF CHARACTERS
Cassandra Estelle: My main character, and a little metaphor of myself and the troubles and obstacles I have been through. I chose this girl's name after one in a Flyleaf song, titled Cassie. In the song, Cassie takes a bullet when admitting to being a Christian, fighting for something she believes in.
Adrienne Estelle: Cassie's younger, jealous sister. A liar. A cheater. A sinner, to symbolize the sinners and the sins of the world; the fall of humanity. How far can the emotion of rage and jealousy push someone who is so starved for attention and uncomfortable in her own shoes?
Jonathan Bedivere: A secondary character who meets Cassandra in her own little world. A portrayal of all I love, all I've lost, and all of which I hope to never lose again.
Nathaniel and Georgia Estelle: Cassandra and Adrienne's parents.
