Chapter 1: No Use Crying Over Spilled Coffee
It Started out as any other day: over slept, half hour of Traffic to the city, And I'm thirty minutes late for work. But who would have thought that such an ordinary day would end up turning my world upside down and changing it, but the question is: "for better or for worse."
So after getting bitched at by my boss for being late again, I proceeded to get to work. I work at FUSE studios, and it's a really awesome job. I'm just basically the delivery girl, or as my Best Friend Kiera puts it, the "Erred b***h." But I'm just fine with it. Usually I work on the set of SURS, but today I'm on the set of Daily Download.
The whole crew was in a flurry trying to get ready for the guest start for tonight. My god, I haven't seen this much commotion since Haley Berry was on, of course most of that commotion came form the guys. But since I was late, I have no idea who it was. So anyway, I got straight to work doing what I was told. My first Assignment, preparing the refreshment table. I'm Running down the halls trying to deliver some Coffee, Green Tea, and Soda; Zigg-Zagging my way around people. I almost ran into Kiera but I swerved around her at the last second. I'm an expert manuerver.
"Yo where's the Fire, Here let me help you with that before you spill it" she says, taking the Green tea from my Hands.
"Thanks Kier. Hey do you know who's supposed to be on tonight?" I ask her while be both begin walking down the hall toward the set.
"No Clue. I was on the Set with the F-List. I swear, if Dylin makes one more lame pass at me I'm gonna smack him" she said while Laughing. Of Course she wasn't serious, she and Dylin got along just fine.
"SABRENA!!!" came a Loud yell from my headset
"********, damn it Marco, are you TRYING to deften me!!"
"oh shut it Bre." he said "Just hurry up with those drinks!!"
"All right, All right, I'm Coming!!!…Come on Kier. Before Marco begins spazzing"
I mean it's just Drinks, why is he making such a big deal, I bet Destiny's Child is on or something. But anyway, I take off down the hall, and turn the corner. And the Next thing I know, my a** is on the floor with hot Coffee spilled all over my white Tee.
"********!!!" so much for being an expert manuerver.
"s**t, I'm Sorry" came a very male voice from above me. I wasn't really paying attention, too busy mourning my now ex- white shirt. It was my favorite one too. I could Hear Kiera cracking up behind me. Some friend.
"It's Not funny Kiera!!!"
"Oh Yes it is!! Now I think you should look up now Bre"
I looked ahead of me to see a hand extended in a gesture of trying to help me up. I grabbed it and was instantly pulled easily to my feet. I Dusted of my rear end and examined my shirt some more. Yup there's no saving this one, I don't think they make bleach strong enough to handle this job.
So I finally Look at the person who knocked me down; well actually I ran into him, but he's not the one with a ruined shirt now is he? When I looked at him, I saw the most beautiful pair of blue-grey eyes I've ever seen. And to add to that, those eyes belonged to the one and only Bert McCracken: front man of one of my favoirte bands; The Used.
My Jaw dropped. And I just stared at him. Luckly I had my good friend Kiera there to not-so-gently stomp on my foot to bring me out of my stupor. What a good friend...can you sense the sarcasm. Just then Marco comes around the corner.
"Bre There you are. Please tell me that's not the Coffee I asked you to deliver all over your shirt."
"ummm... you see, what had happened was--" I began my excuse but was cut off .
"Um, was that supposed to be my coffee?" Bert asked
"Yes. I'm so Sorry Mr. McCracken. I'll send for another one right away" Marco said and then turned to me. "you are in SO much trouble"
I could only stand there looking sheepish, but I was a little pissed. I mean, It's JUST coffee for Christ's sake. Then Bert came to my rescue "It wasn't her fault, I ran into her and caused it to spill all over her"
I could hear Kiera Laughing at me again. I turned and gave her my deadliest of Death glares. Then all of a sudden she abruptly stopped laughing and her eyes got as wide as saucers. I turned to see what she was staring at: Jepha Howard.
I began to laugh. He looked a little sleepy, like he just woke up or something. He came over and asked Marco "has the Tea I asked for come yet?" Kiera must have turned 5 different shades of red before she managed to squeak "Um, I have it right here." I continued to crack up. This was hilarious. Now it was my turn to receive a death glare. I stopped laughing, but continued to smile.
Jepha walked over to her, and smiled at her as she handed him his drink. I swear, I've never seen her so red in my life. I would have burst out into laughter again if it wasn't for the 'don't you dare' look for Kiera. So I just continued cheezeing like a mug.
"Um Guys," Marco began, taking to Jepha and Bert. "They need you on the set now"
"Okay" said Jepha "Lets go Bert, Thanks for the Tea" he said with a smile to Kiera. Once again she blushed a deep red.
Bert then turned and winked at me, before he turned and followed Jepha and Marco to the set. I must not have seen that correctly. Maybe he just had something in his eye? Oh well.
I turned to Kiera to see that she was still standing stock still staring at the corner that the guys just turned. I once again began to burst with laugher. That snapped her out of it.
"It's Not Funny!!!" She yelled at me
"Why am I having a strange case of deja vu"
"oh shut up" she huffed at me.
"I love you too" I said
She just rolled her eyes and pulled on my arm "Lets see if we can do anything about that stain." and she proceed to drag me to the Bathroom.
