Chapter One: For Whom My Cold Heart Beats
Chapter Three: For Whom My Cold Heart Beats
"Axel!" Vexen exclaimed as Axel yanked his chakram back, sending Vexen to the ground.
"Sorry, Marluxia's orders." Axel said, slinging one chakram over his shoulder.
"Is he in on this too? It doesn't really seem like Axel to betray us..." I thought, watching from a branch on a nearby tree.
"Marluxia..." Vexen stated, venom dripping from the name. "I'm the eldest member of this castle! Who does that arrogant punk think he is?!" he exclaimed, summoning his giant blue ice shield. Axel gets into a battle ready position.
"Too bad..." Axel says, charging at Vexen and slicing right through him and his shield. "Now you can tell me I don't respect my elders." he states, watching Vexen fall to the ground, fading away like fog. Axel"s chakrams slowly faded from his hands as he listened to Vexen.
"N-No..I don't want to go yet." were Vexen's final words as his form completely vanished. Sora started on at this with his mouth gaping open. He shakily pointed to where Vexen;s body used to be.
"You.....you k-killed him! But he was your comrade!" Sora yelled at Axel. Axel stood a couple of feet away with his back turned.
"Killed him?" he said. "We don't die. We're Nobodies. Now he's nothing instead of just being a Nobody." he finished, turning and walking up to Sora. Sora summoned his keyblade and pointed it towards Axel.
"What are going to do with Namine?" Sora demanded. Axel smirked and took out a card from his sleeve.
"You want to figure things out for yourself," Axel stated, holding out the card for Sora to take. "Right, Mr.Hero?" As Sora looked at the card he gasped. Axel opened a portal, slowly walking through it, leaving a shocked Sora behind. I felt him enter the world once more, under the tree I was currently in. We watched as Sora slowly but surely found his way out with his friends. "So..." Axel said, leaning against the tree and crossing his arms. "How long've you been watching?" he asked. I sighed silently while removing my hood and jumped from the branch I had perched myself on and landed gracefully next to Axel.
"Only a little bit." I stated, standing next to him. He looked down at me, well because he is almost a foot taller than me, and smirked. He ruffled my hair and I growled, swatting it away.
"So Xemnas sent you to watch Sora, neh?" he asked knowingly. I nodded curtly while crossing my own arms.
"He's an interesting kid..." I said. He nodded himself. "You...aren't really going through with Marluxia's ridiculous plan, are you?" I asked. I had been trying to figure out why the so called, "aboveground" members were doing and I figured it out, thy're gonna use Sora to try and overthrow the Organization. He laughed and I glared at him.
"Heh, you really think I would team up with those losers?" he said. I smiled slightly.
"You never did seem like the betraying type..." I said. We stood there in silence for a few seconds before Axel stood up from his lean and stretched.
"Well...better get back!" he said in fake excitement. I chuckled at his remark, watching as he opened a portal. "Put in a good word for me squirt." he said, starting to walk but stopped. "Oh..." he trailed off, turning back towards me. "Don't let any of the others appearances fool you, they'll kill you in a heartbeat, whether you work for the Superior or not." he said,I nodded and gave a small thanks. "See ya 'round." he said, throwing a small wave over his shoulder, disappearing through the portal, it following suit. I turned to make a portal myself but stopped, feeling an enormous amount of darkness clashing in the basement of the castle.
"Riku..." I thought, opening a portal to the spot where I felt his presence. I appeared behind a portal, seeing Riku fighting the sixth member of the Organization, Lexaeus. It went on for a while, mostly with Riku dodging Lexaeus's summoned boulders and Riku attacking him in his weakened state, but not before trying to knock Riku away with his giant hammer-shaped weapon. Riku finally struck Lexaeus down for the final time, his weapon disappearing.
"Such...such power!" Lexaeus panted, falling onto his knees.
"What's wrong...Lexaeus," Riku huffed. "Is that all...darkness can do?" he asked mockingly.
"Well...It seems...I am beaten... But the Organization shall triumph! I may perish, but all the darkness within me will billow forth and devour you!" Lexaeus shouted, glowing a dark color as he started to fade into nothing.
"Oh no!" I thought, starting to open a portal. "If I stay here, I get dragged into his realm of darkness!" I began to walk through until I heard a 'thump'. I turned to see Riku had fallen to the ground, panting. I looked back to the portal, then back to Riku, sighing in agitation. "Great, I can't just leave him here." I thought, rushing over to him, picking up one of his arms and placing it around my shoulder, slowly lifting him up.
"It's...it's you again." he said weakly.
"C'mon, we have to get out of here before-" I was cut off from the blast of darkness behind us.

~With Riku~

Riku sat up quickly from a lying position, rubbing his head in discomfort. He looks around, seeing nothing but darkness.
"What the?" he said. "What...what happened? Where am I..." he felt something near him move and looked down to his side, seeing a knocked out, teal-haired girl. "She...she saved me..." he recalled, remembering the girl's movement behind him, to shelter him some from the blast of darkness.
"I can see... I can see clearly!" a voice echoed in the darkness
"Lexaeus?!" Riku called out in frustration.
"Riku... I can see your heart..."
"No, it can't be..." Riku said to himself. "Darkness this foul could only belong to one person..."
"That's it, remember me... Let me drift into your heart..." the voiced cooed on.
"Ansem!" Riku exclaimed, jumping up onto his feet and summoning his soul eater. His dark laughter surrounded him, where he was hiding would be impossible to find in this darkness.
"You called my name, Riku... You're thinking about me... You're afraid of the darkness I command." he said, voice growing louder. "Good... The more you think of me, the closer my return draws. And when I awaken..." he trailed off.
"Your heart will be mine!" he yelled, appearing in front of Riku and knocking him off his feet. As Ansem drew closer to Riku, a familiar voice the said,
"Riku, fight! Don't let Ansem take you!" Then, a ball of light, similar to one Riku had seen before, started to circle him.
"That voice..." Riku thought. The ball suddenly stopped in between Riku and Ansem and Mickey appeared there in its stead.
"Your Majesty!" Riku said, happy to see the King once again. Both could hear Ansem's growl.
"Meddlesome king!" he grumbled before vanishing. Then the darkness started to retreat, leaving myself, Mickey, and Riku. Riku looked around at the familiar white walls of Castle Oblivion, then his eyes landed on my passed out form. He shot a quick glance at the King's fading form before running to my side.
"Your Majesty!" he said once again, but in a more urgent tone. The holographic King rushed over to Riku's side. Riku gave him a worried look asking, "Do you think she'll be okay?" The King looked down at me and turned back to Riku, giving him a large smile.
"She's only unconscious, she should wake up in a few minutes, but probably with a headache. Cast a cure on her, just to be safe." he ordered. Riku nodded and casted a curaga on me.
"Thank-" he started, but when he turned to where the King was standing, he was gone. "Well...what do I do know?" he asked himself. He looked down at me again and sighed, placing me up against a nearby pillar in a sitting position. He sat beside me, leaning against the pillar as well, waiting for me to wake up.
