He sat on the steps looking down upon the river's edge. He pushed his arm away from him, with what little energy he had left, towards the smooth silky texture of the water. As his fingers linger towards the surface, they shake with the anticipation to feel the cool chilled touch set far apart from the sudden heat this early spring morning. The moment was seconds away; the tip almost kissed with seduction. Then it happened. The shivers ran as if through his bloodstream to his pulsating heart; brought back to life like the process of becoming a vampire only in reverse.
