[05.19.09 ]- *pant* *huff* *wheeze* Okay, after several very long months, I've found some time and have actually embarked upon the promised task of revamping this fugly thread. It's about time too, because that Gryffindor thread seems to be the hot spot these days. With the new movie and inevitable resparked interest of tons of fans, it's time this got underway! My ultimate goal has always been to be better than the Gryffindor thread. Sure, that takes little to no effort, but I've decided this thread could use that little ounce of effort. So! Slytherins, stay tuned. We'll be on top again in no time.
[03.11.09 ]- I'm really revamping. See? See all the bold tags and such? But we're keeping all of this news because, well, looking back on the past is kind of fun, ain't it? Anyway, be patient. It may be a week or two before I have the time and creativity to come up with a more comprehensive look for the thread, but you know what?! I think I know of a good contest that could go in conjunction with this theme revamp. So! Look forward to that. Something everyone can participate in.
[02.16.09 ]- Sick of the look of this thread? Delightful! So am I, and as such, this thread will be heavily redesigned in the next coming weeks. This weeding out will be accompanied by a total sweep of eeeevery single one of the students listed down below, as I pursue a better way to organize them. Remember how I once offered you guys like 100k to do this for me? Anyways, so expect some changes. As of yet we're still contest-less, but soon we will have soooomething going on, so hold tight. [01.04.09 ]- Hey hey hey, ho ho ho. It's the dimominable meerman here, with the first update of 2009, and essentially... a quarter of a year, because I'm a slacker and sort of neglected the thread. So, that "awesome" contest was met with failure, and nobody wins! Nyeh! So we're just going to nix that whole thing. Those of you who at least tried have been rewarded handsomely, and those of you who didn't, SUCK. Anyway, friendly attitudes aside, sometime in the future this thread may see a complete makeover, because I get bored of the way things look a lot and thusly dramatically change them... Anyways, I'm back in business, the thread is still doing good, and we've got a lot of Slytherin pride eeking out all over the place. This is good news bringing in the new year.
[09.13.08 ]- Fear not, this thread isn't dead. In fact, it's booming. It's been exploding with posts like crazy, and we've more than doubled in size since the pioneering of the new thread. Yes, my slithery friends, it is an achievement to be proud of. More and more Slytherins are wasting their time indoors on Gaia instead of taking advantage of the summer weather while it lasts! *cough* Anyway, a new contest is in the works. A new contest that shifts Dimmer's workload entirely to you! A contest that rears handsome rewards. Watch for it.
[06.21.08 ]- It's been a while since we had a contest! Suggestions are now in the poll and we're allowing you, the voter, to decide what the next contest should be. Options include art, fanfiction, lottery, banner making, tektek, music, video, photo, and sex contests! What is a sex contest? Well, we have no idea, but it's probably something that we'd be slaughtered for by Gaia if they actually had any moderators ip in this forum! So it probably won't happen, but you guys can just let your fantasies captivate you on that one. So, vote! Let me know! We shall have another contest soon, and the prizes will be like whoa win. So yes.
[05.21.08 ]- Lepusia won the latest contest, and The_Slytherin_Goddess came in a very close second place. Both received their gold, and their art should be completed... eventually. In the meantime, a new poll is up, the thread is kicking with over ONE HUNDRED PAGES, and a new contest is needed. It has been suggested before that there be a contest only for Slytherins, but as of current, a lot of our regulars are Gryffindors looking for a fight. If Slytherin member activity picks up, a Slytherin only contest can occur. If not, it's gonna continue to include everyone. Keep watching the thread for further updates. [05.12.08 ]- Well, the avatar contest has gone a long way... There seems to be a tie, so now comes the tie breaker. The only two to vote on are Lepusia and The_Slytherin_Goddess. Since both girls have apparently awesome Tektek avatars, the winner will get the grand prize of 20k gold and a fandoodle of whatever the hell they want from Dimmer Meerkat, and the loser of the tie break will still get the decently nifty prize of 5k gold and a really quick chibi-esque drawing of an RPC or avatar. [04.18.08 ]- A new contest has been added in the contest section. There are new affiliates as well! Be sure to check them out. A fun new guild has been added, and is in serious need of Slytherin participation! There have been a few polls about what frequenters to the thread think of Slytherins, as well as a completely random poll about adjectives for things describedly Slytherin. A new poll will be in place until the TekTek contest voting is to occur... On May 2.
[04.07.08 ]- The random drawing contest ended and each winner was given their respective prizes. We're now currently playing with some ideas for the next contest. If you have any ideas, post! Suggest them in the thread and we'll all decide what it ought to be, and what the prize should be as well.
[04.02.08 ]- We were raided by two Gryffindor siblings last night. D: Unbelievable! As a counter measure, Dimmer wants to know who else will be on at a time when few of the Gryffindor regs aren't on. Let's paint their common room green and silver, and litter the place with Slytherin icons, all the while avoiding spamming. Hm? Who's with me? No one? Not going to break school rules you say? Sigh. Oh well. That aside, those Gryffindors did rake up quite a few tickets, and time is running out. The drawing will happen tomorrow sometime in the early afternoon, so post as much as you can to ensure a higher chance of success. The Green Corallus Egg evolved nicely! It can be a scaley green egg, a little garden snake, a gigantic boa, a scaley cape, a head dress, a snake mask, a headdress with a scaley cape, etc. So get one! Win the drawing! Post a ton! [03.27.08 ]- Another contest started two days ago, but we forgot to update the updates section because we're lazy. Hooray! So, if you haven't noticed the new contest, take a look. Participate! Give in to our bribery. Make the thread that much more active! We've received compliments from affiliate RP thread "Harry Potter and the Trials of Hogwarts," who has had an influx of applications thanks to their recent affiliation with us. Please be mindful of their literacy standards, or we'll need to rap you on the knuckles! A new poll is also available. There's no right or wrong answer, though there is one that will get you beat right the ████ up. And hey, while we're gaining activity again, why not tolerate the other houses a little, eh? Dimmer's been embassadoring around to all the other threads, but they complain about not being made to feel welcome. So! Grab a Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw, tie them up and force them to suffer our company until they like us. That'll do the trick!
[03.02.08 ]- Things have slowed down a little, partially because of a few losses that have plagued the families of some members within, including myself. Apologies for the delays, and whatever work needs to be done shall be done between bereavement. While a few days late, the banner contest voting has been opened. The voting will last a total of 7 days. Voting began at 9:00 PM GMT today, the second of March, and will continue through to next Sunday, the ninth of March at 9:00 PM GMT. In order for people not to confuse the banner section with the banner contest entries section, I will be intentionally screwing the code so none of those display right. I've combined entries 9&10 because the poll allows only for 10 options and it would be a shame to have to have two polls for one extra option. They are nearly identical and made by the same person. If that option wins, for fun, though he will have won the prize, we can put up the two for a general vote of which is more liked. Happy voting! Officer elections will be taken down for a little while until it becomes necessary again and old contests will be cleaned out--with the winners and contest entries posted in another section.

[02.04.08 ]- HeiressofSlytherin1 was elected as a prefect after a vote of 12 in favour and 5 against. The thread is gaining activity, but not much is new!
[02.03.08 ]- In the past few days, quite a bit has happened. We now have many more students. One couple has been entered in to the Valentine's Day Contest, and one person has submitted three entries to the Banner Contest. Be sure to enter before the respective deadlines end on both of these. There is currently one vote occurring for Prefect, and nominations for Head Boy & Girl are currently being accepted! The thread has nearly ten pages over the course of under a week. So far, so good!
[01.30.08 ]- We're still waiting for the thread to be moved by moderators in both the Test Forum and the Harry Potter Forum. So far no one has been too terribly responsive. u.u Yesterday, the thread was completed. We've added affiliates and that sort of gunk too. Hoping this will be in the HP forums by tomorrow!
[01.29.08 ]- Today, preliminary work begins on the new Big Bad Slytherin House Thread. If all goes well, the thread will arrive from the Test Forum to the Harry Potter subforum of Entertainment Discussion, and we can truly kick it off!
