Happy birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me.
I just got back from the movies, my roomies treated me to the new Star Trek feature. I am a Hard Core Trekker. I have seen every episode and read every book. As for this movie,well. I got over the current cast portraying the original characters. they were actually very good. The action sequences were thrilling and it was easy to enjoy. The actual story was a work of fan fiction, bad fan fiction. Vulcan blown up, Spocks mom killed, alternate reality, come on, Blows the original timeline all to hell. Old Spock meeting young Spock, where is the creative plan to fix the universe back to original timeline. All in all, I must rate this movie a 2 star, an average action flick that has nothing to do with Star Trek.
