Looking at my watch, I realized I had slept for about seven and a half hours; making up for some lost Z's I suppose. My head hurt pretty bad, like someone took a lead pipe and played pinata with my brain.

Next time, don't use a rock as a source of comfort.

My legs felt like jelly, which means I must have ran more than I thought. Suddenly, I felt an unfamiliar pulse race through my body, turning every fiber, every nerve, numb until I collapsed, not knowing if I would ever wake up.

Dying was the best part of my existence; painless, efortless. I could not have cared less if I ever walked on earth again. Then, something spoiled my walk amongst the dead, something loud. Was that my heartbeat? It throbbed and ached, refusing my never-ending sleep. This sound brought me back to my senses, and I slowly opened my eyes, peeking at my surroundings. Nothing. I was still in the alley I had slept in earlier. Next to me, I spotted a pink sheet of paper, folded like the one in the Maserati.


Dear Mrs. Short,
Why haven't you come to visit us yet?
I was sure that I specified that you should keep in touch.
We wouldn't want something to happen to you.
Don't keep us waiting!

They're right, you have to see a doctor.
Okay, so my health definitely wasn't my number one priority, but I needed answers to my episode earlier, and to some questions that began to boil on my tongue. How are they operating, this "Group?" How did they know that the car before was stolen, and that I was here in this alley? My next mission is to find out who the Group is, what they want with me, and how they know my secret.
They're probably working for LOSI.
