Today at my practicum I helped my grandmother find some other books by a certain author, among other things.

I learned more about ILL (Interlibrary Loan) first thing in the morning. There is a certain gentleman at the library who gets old western books through ILL all of the time, so I processed six books that were going to him as well as one for someone else. ILL leaves quite a trail of paperwork in this library. Then I pulled the non-fiction holds list (and actually found all of the books for once). I typed up an inventory of all of the electronic equipment in the reference office after locating and recording all of the serial and model numbers, and we also switched out the fax machines, as both the Foundation and the Library uses the same fax machine now. I then went through a list of missing books to check and make sure that they were still missing before they were reordered. I did find a few of them. Then my grandmother visited the library, and I researched more books by Eleanor H. Porter, who wrote a book my grandmother had read called Just David. Although the library had Pollyanna in the children's books, the only other book that we had by her was Pollyanna Grows Up, a rare book that can't be checked out. I reserved a copy from another library for her, however. I also told her that she could likely find more books by that author through ILL, and I did some preliminary research and found a few books, although she didn't want to order any yet. Then I made more spine labels and repaired a book with tape.

I played a little piano and watched Twilight with my mother, who had rented it through Netflix. I guess I liked it a little better this time around. Their conversations still seem a little stilted to me. The scenery is gorgeous, though.
