Mr. Nichol starts off by saying that nobody is following the dress code. That we should not be wearing extra accessories. Not even 3 minutes later he says that the Ids are extra. So why do we have to wear them? Of course they just want to be followers and not leaders so they won’t say that so they just say that it’s for our safety and stupid stuff that has nothing to do with the Ids. If we aren’t allowed to wear anything distracting than why do we have to wear the Ids? Seriously, they are the most annoying and distracting things ever. They can’t give any good reason why we should wear the Ids. They are just a waste of money but because other school in our state and around the country have them they decided to be followers and not leaders. Mr.Nichol talks about pride and respect. Does he fully understand these two words? How do you respect a place that follows what others do and wastes money that could be going to the sports teams and better locks and important things instead of buying these pointless ids and slushy machines? Why do we need them? For the library which nobody really goes there unless your teachers drag you down there. Why have pride in a school that has to follow what others do? Why don’t they listen to what the students have to say. We are a lot smarter than they think. They don’t respect us enough to tell us the truth and listen to what we have to say. One day they won’t know what to do and they will turn to us. Do we help them? No, they didn’t listen to us before so why tell them what we want to say now? There’s no point in wasting our breath on them.
Secondly, Mr. Nichol talked about how the girls can not wear skirts with spandex or leggings anymore because he feels that we will start wearing one without the other. Who came up with that idea nobody knows but if won’t happen. Do they think we care for the guys in school? Why do they think that? Wearing skirts with spandex is just like wearing shorts and spandex like the sports teams sometimes do. Why can sports teams do things that others can’t? They say that we have to use the finger rule. The finger rule can go right up their sorry hypocritical butts! Some people have really long arms and can not stand shorts down to their knees. We are not basketball players we are students who are doing gym for 40 minutes. We are constantly running so why does it matter? Some students can not work well with long shorts. They are so worried about making us seem so bad they don’t realize they are twice as worse. The teachers tell us that our shirts are too low-cut but they should look in the mirrors. Their shirts are extremely low. Every student notices this and because they are adults we can’t say anything without the risk of getting written up. What ever happened to freedom of speech? In school the teachers and administration have all the freedom of speech and the students have none. Mr. Nichol said that basically we have to get new shorts for gyym. I absolutely refuse to go out and get shorts because some annoying bitches want to be the followers that they are and follow what oher schools do.
