I collapsed onto my bed. Seems as though my new roommate didn’t get here yet. Thank God, I don’t feel like fighting so early in the year. Maybe it was a mistake, or, this room was unoccupied and I had it to myself. That would be nice! Oh…wait.
Leaning over, I grabbed my folder, in it there was a page with dorm information. Where it was, the cleaning schedules, and what I wanted, roommate information. I glanced at the name under mine.
“Damn…roommate…but who’s Roxas Milan?” I shook my head, he’s new, thus maybe he won’t hate me immediately. Well I’ll see in the morning, I was too tired to wait up for my mysterious new roommate.
I rolled over glaring at the wall, hoping that sleep would drag me down into it’s uneasy black folds, it’s was still better than staying awake. Though extremely tired, my body wouldn’t let me rest. It played horrors through my head, what might happen tomorrow or what most defiantly will happen this year. Maybe they’ll accidentally kill me(though it might not be entirely accidental), I could only hope.

The blaring beep of someone’s alarm clock pulled me out of my comfortable shell of sleep. It was probably Cloud’s. Most of the kids here have supernatural hearing, so they can hear his alarm even on the top floor( I’m on the third floor, there’s 5.), even though the walls are sound proofed… even humans would be able to hear that damn thing. “ I’m gonna shoot Cloud.” I grumbled to myself, it was too early for his crap. It was only 4:30! School started at 7:00! Well…I needed to get a shower anyway.
I rolled out of bed, grabbed my bath stuff and a towel before remembering that I had a roommate that wasn’t Kosuke. Curiosity set in(if you make a joke about curiosity and cats you better start praying now)so I couldn’t help myself. I glanced up at the top bunk, trying to see who I was sharing a room with. All I COULD see was the very top of a blonde head. I shrugged, I’ll just meet him later. I mean, I wasn’t THAT curious, I didn’t want to wake him up because of it.
I left after that, the question of what he looked like burning my mind for a bit. I paid special attention to detecting if anyone was near me. I scratched my head, ruffling my layered black hair. If I was human I guess I would be a scene kid. My black hair(natural) was streaked with rose and pale pink(not so natural). One time I had a bet with Kosuke and I lost, so I had to dye my hair temporarily pink I liked it so much that when my hair went back to normal I got it streaked.
I pushed open the door, it’s golden leaf plaque reading SHOWER ROOM. The bathroom was empty except for Cloud who must’ve been up for an hour already(he always goes for a run before getting a shower…every morning…I don’t know how he does it.). He grunted a hello to me, the most your likely to get from him in the morning. I grunted back and went into a empty shower stall.
I turned on the hot water and waited for the water to heat up.
“ You have a new roommate?”
I almost dropped the soap(Shut up yaoi fans…it’s alright to do that here, it’s not jail or an all boy’s school), it’s unusual for Cloud to say anything unless you ask him. “ Yeah…” I answered, wondering why he had an interest in that.
“Hm.” Was all he said to that, not like I was expecting a huge detailed reason for his question but was a one word reply all to much to ask? Well…with Cloud obviously it was.
I heard him enter the stall a couple doors down from mine but it barely registered in my mind. I washed my hair, trying to get out of here quickly before the other guys got up to get a shower…I’ve been cornered in a stall once and beaten pretty badly. I finished and darted out to grab my stuff. I could here voices in the hall heading this way.
I left out the back entrance so I didn’t have to pass whoever was coming in. The back stairs led to every floor(the shower room took up half of the 5th floor), so I descended until I got to the door with a big black 3 on it. I pushed my way through it, keeping to the shadows just in case the Pennya brothers got up early for some unknown reason. I kept my head down, passing a ton of guys in towels heading to the showers, hiding my face and scar. That disgusting scar…
My room was close to the back stairs (God bless small miracles), relief washed through me went I entered the safe zone…of course I had once again forgotten the other person until…
“ So you’re my new roommate!”
I jumped about a foot(natural reaction when your startled, useless, but natural.) “ Oh…s**t…sorry.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Jumpy much?”
“Yeah…Just…loud” He wasn’t, actually his voice was quite soft. “ Uh, Hi.”
“ Hey, I’m Roxas!” I looked at him now that he wasn’t tangled in blankets. He was tall, taller than me(not like that’s saying much), his blonde hair was spiked in the front, it seemed to deify gravity, and straight in the back. His eyes were a brilliant bright blue, like crystal, they were amazing, I couldn‘t look away, I was mesmerized…what the hell? That sounded WAAAAAAAAAAAY girly.
“ I’m Tsubasa.” Wow, I’m amazed I said that without stuttering. I broke my gaze almost reluctantly when I started putting my stuff away, I decided not to look at him again, afraid that if I look into his eyes again I’ll get lost in them(WHAT’S WITH THE GIRLY CRAP? SO CORNY!!!). “So…Your new?”
“Is it that obvious?” He laughed, scratching the back of his head.
“ Well, new students are rare here…” I said. I went over to the closet and pulled out my black and red school uniform. “…so they’re easy to spot.”
“ Oh, makes sense. Hey, could you tell me where the café is?” He grinned, his teeth very visible. I noticed his canines were extremely long and sharp with a slight metallic sheen in the light. He was a vampire.
“ Uh…Yeah. Go through the double doors right across from the dorms entrance and walk straight down the hall until you get to huge black doors, you’ll know that they’re serving breakfast cause the doors will be open.”
“ Thanks a lot. See ya later.” Roxas left and I relaxed right away. Well, he didn’t punch me, that’s good.
I got dressed quick and left, locking the door behind me(if I didn’t I don’t know what would happen) and walked to Kosuke’s room. I was curious to find out who his new roommate was. I only had to wait a second after I knocked for Kosuke to answer.
“Come in!” He called.
I walked in and plopped on his bed. Kosuke was shutting down his laptop, most likely reading a manga(I do that constantly).
“ Almost ready.” He assured me.
“Kay. OH! Who’s your new roommate?”
“Some kid named Sora. He has really spiky brown hair, and he’s pretty tall, only a bit taller than me.” He said, throwing a notebook and pencil in his bag. “Sora Milan.”
I looked up at the last name. “ Hey! My roommate has the same last name! He’s Roxas Milan. Maybe they’re brothers?”
“ Who knows? If they’re brothers maybe we could ask to switch?”
“Yeah.” That would be good, cause I mean…what if Roxas wants a midnight snack? I like my blood … kinda … and … it would complicate some things. I pulled my sleeves further over my hands.
“ Let’s start the school year.” Kosuke grinned at me, slinging his backpack over his shoulder.
“Let’s”
