It was said by Obama of course, and of course he is completely right. During WWI and II everyone was on the train. During the Industrial Revolution everyone was involved but right now it just seems that rather than help, the Republicans are pushing back more than ever. Now I don't have to say that they haven't exactly proven themselves as the brightest (or most friendly) bulbs in the box, so why they think they know so much is beyond me? Still if America doesn't come out stronger than before it won't come out at all. This is one of those situations where if it doesn't kill you it only makes you stronger, and if it does kill you then you're ********. I don't really buy into this recession being as bad as the Great Depression. I find it must worse. Every depression from this point on will only be worse. Why, because each will take more and more to topple and we're looking at a Global Meltdown not the demolition of one country. The U.S. goes and everyone else is going to take a big hit. I can't say with certainty the other countries would survive. I think they would, but not as strong.
Also in the article the author used the phrase, "grim enough to be honest but optimistic enough to be inspiring." It's exactly the way I like to be. I don't beat around the bush nor do I care to lie. I'll give you the truth and what should be done.
Am I afraid for the economy right now? Of course, there is no reason not to be, but still fear shouldn't grip anyone entirely. We have to look forward and find where and how this will all end.
