6 years ago i was in 3rd grade, thats where I first met my first crush. Never thought i would start so young.

I met him during the first day of 3rd grade. I never really liked boys that much because I was usually always bullied by them and thought they were mean, but I ended up being friends with some of them anyways. For some reason I felt different around him, whenever he smiled I would always feel really happy and smile back. When we accidentally bump into each other playing tag, my heart would jump a bit and I would start blushing. I wasn't sure what this feeling was since I was only 8 years old at the time. These happy times didn't really last long though, after what happened everything changed.

(Flash Back)
'okay, Tamane you can do this,' I thought to myself. I was finally going to tell Daichi that I liked him. I saw him walking towards me, and I started feeling butterflies in my tummy, I shook it off and waved to him.
"Um...uhh...D-Daichi-kun...I need to tell you something..."
"What is it Tamane-chan?" he asked, giving me a confused look.
I breathed in slowly and said,"I like you Daichi-kun!"
I looked at him with a slight blush on my face but it soon disappeared, once I saw him with slightly life less eyes.
"Daichi-kun?" I asked worriedly. He didn't reply. He just walked past me and left me there standing. I looked down at the ground and sadly walked back to class as I heard the bell ring. I tried to wave to him but he just looked away and ignored me, I felt kind of hurt but I thought that maybe he just didn't see me.
During lunch, I was walking with my friend Kairi and we were just kind of talking about some random stuff, until we saw Daichi-kun and his friends playing tag with some of the other students.
"Hey, Tama-chan, don't you think Daichi-kun is kind of cute?"
I looked at her with wide eyes and I looked at the ground with a slight blush on my face and replied, "I-I guess....why?"
"Well I just kind of wanted your opinion on him....because...I kind of...like him"
The last two words repeated in my mind like a broken record, and I stared at the ground in shock. I felt a slight jab in my heart, but I smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up, showing my approval. But also trying to hide the pain I felt inside. Finally, the bell rang and it was time to go back inside.
I felt weird...almost lifeless....I didn't even notice that the bell rang and it was the end of school until I felt my teacher shake me gently.
"Tamane, its time to go home the bell already rang" Ms. M informed.
"Ah, okay bye sensei" I replied as i walked out of the door.
As I walked out into the playground, I saw Daichi-kun sitting at the swings. I slowly walked up to him and greeted him with a "Hi" but there was no answer. I tried again but there was still no response. "Daichi-kun? you there?" I asked and softly shook his shoulder. Suddenly, I felt him smack my hand away and he stood up looked at me angrily. "Leave me alone! I hate you!"
I stood there staring at him with lifeless eyes, and I turned around and walked away slowly...my eyes downcast. Tears slowly dripping down my face as I walked towards the school gates, where my mom was waiting. Suddenly, I heard someone running toward me, I turned around and I saw him, but I only felt pain when I looked at him now...so I ran. I heard his distant cries for forgiveness, but I still kept running. I finally stopped crying when I got to my mom and she kind of looked at me worriedly but I gave her a reassuring smile and we went home.
(End of Flashback)
After that, we never talked as much as we used to, and sometimes we just completely ignored each other. It was okay though, its better this way, its better if we acted like none of this ever happened. I was fine with that....I think....
