This installment of the Final Fantasy XII saga tells the story of SOLDIER First-Class Zack, who was Cloud's mentor in FF7 (SPOILER ALERT) The game shows the back story between most of the main characters in FF7, and shows what happens before (SPOILER ALERT!!! FINAL WARNING) Zack dies.
This game is a very good RPG game as well as an action game.
Anyways, Zack's story is a very well done one. The graphics are unbelievable and a lot of time can be invested into this game to truly master it. The music is especially spectacular, with "The Price of Freedom" being a favorite of mine. Long story short, the music was masterfully done.
The combat in FFCC is no longer turn based, making it much more interesting to take part in battles.
The missions also give you a very-much-needed time away from the main story, which is a plus. You can also level up yourself and your materia, making it an even bigger plus.
Not everything is perfect, however. The controls are a bit too basic when you fight, because Zack always locks onto a target and will rush towards it if not in range. Although this does help you focus on defense, it does sometimes allow you to get by in a boss battle by purely button mashing. This can be to the dismay of some gamers, but for many, its not that much of a problem.
FINAL VERDICT: B+ (Buy it for yourself and for your friends.)
