'Broken'
A light surrounded by darkness:
Story of my life.
Watching from the shadows-
Too afraid to try.
Down and out but not forgotten.
The underdog in an eternal strife.
A wingless angel in the Heavens,
Never allowed to fly.
God let me down from here.
I'm just a disgrace.
It only brings me tears
When I see his face.

I don't deserve this grace.
As long as he's not near
Heaven's not a place.
It's Heaven on Earth,
Too bad I'm not there.
Instead, I'm surrounded by God's army,
So why do I feel so alone?
It's like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel,
But it's an uphill climb. Life's not fair.
It's like revealing a priceless treasure
That you cannot touch once you've been shown.
God let me down from here.

I only stain the purity
Of such a sacred place.

I don't deserve this grace.
My heart longs to be else where
And beats to another's pace.
I say "I love you" and you turn away.
You think it's impossible. But maybe someday...
Can't I just blink, and have it all be gone?
No, that'd be too easy, I'd miss you before long.
I'm just an angel with broken wings,
Fallen from Heaven to suffer these things.
And no matter how hard I try,
I'll never be able to fly.

I didn't know what I had.
But now I see it clear,
Heaven's not so bad.

Into the Darkness
There he was just standing in the dark alley way. Between the two drenched buildings.
All I could hear were the rain drops hitting the Earth's surface and... his footsteps.
I was just standing there, I had no where to go, so I watched him.
All he did was pace, back and forth.
Then I saw it, or them, or him...
A young woman came out of the building to the right.
She started walking towards me.
I didn't know what to do, I still watched.
Then the man or... or thing, ran up behind her, I closed my eyes only until I heard a scream.
A scream so loud that it hurt my soul.
Then at that exact moment my eyes darted open,
that is when I saw the woman laying dead on the Earth's floor.
The man saw me, I started to run, but he just kept up!
Then all of a sudden I hit the black road with him on top of me.
I closed my eyes expecting the worst... then I felt it, the pain in my neck was so unbearable I drifted off into a restless slumber.
I soon woke up to the warmth of a wet substance hitting my lips... blood,
at first it was
grotesque,
but then... then it became a desire to my whole body.
I NEEDED IT!
And that is when I fell into the Darkness!
