Alright, so I went to the national park today with my parents and my little brother, and we were on a trail in the woods. At first, it was pretty fun, walking around and enjoying the scenery. My brother and father went up ahead so my mom and I stayed behind, walking a bit slower and enjoying ourselves. We finally caught up with my dad and brother, only to find that we were stuck in the middle of the forest. We couldn't remember which way we had come from, and we heard noises.
My dad started to lead the way out of the forest, and tried to make our way to a clearing, but we wandered only to find ourselves by the foot of a lake. We turned around the other way, and finally managed to stumble back onto the highway that the park was on, and wearily we walked on the highway hoping to get a car to stop to tell us which direction to head to to get back to the park.
Unsurprisingly, the bastards didn't stop, and I suppose we went through about 20 cars, with none of them stopping, which I found frustrating. They wouldn't even help a child of only 10 (my brother) walking on the road, shivering in the cold! It was disgraceful, and I was throughly pissed off. My dad finally managed to find out which direction the park is in, and told us to stay on the highway while he ran to get our car. We stood on the road for about an hour, then finally his car came.
I was shocked with the selfish behavior that people conduct in this world, especially when there's a family on the road asking for some help. I'll NEVER forget this experience.
