My stories My journal is about stories that I am currently working on. My stories usually have magic and mythical creatures in it. They are usually about girls or twins saving the world. Sometimes they are about animals but is usually depends on my mood.

Farina (Prologue to Strange Dream)
A dark silhouette is sitting on a throne that looks like it was made of a griffin. She is bent over something that looked like the map of a world and it was transparent. Her long, dark bronze hair hid her shallow face. Her Elvin ears barely stoke out from underneath. Her golden gown flows over her petite, dancer like body. The whole time the elven maiden kept whispering, “Where are they? Where are the ones, the children of Lazar, who can save our world? I got to get to them before the evil one does.”

Suddenly the maiden looks up as another elven maiden walks across the marble floor towards the griffin throne. She had her back length, golden hair up in a ponytail. She wore a sky blue hat that went with her floor length, sky blue gown. She carried with her a woven quiver full of arrows of willow and hawk feathers. In her dainty hands she held a bow of oak.

The maiden bowed, “Your highness.”

The queen nodded a greeting, “Report Chancellor Binky.”

“He is on the move. Do you want us to stop him?” reported Chancellor Binky.

“No, I want you to send for the shadows and tell them to follow him. Right now they are our greatest allies.” The queen looked back down at the map clearly dismissing Chancellor Binky.

Suddenly two dots started to move on the map. They both were golden. One of the golden dots moved faster than the other. The queen left the throne room and went to her chambers. She changed out of her golden gown into a white tunic and a pair of brown breeches. The queen put on a pair of leather boots. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail. You now can clearly see her beautiful emerald eyes. The queen then grabbed her bow of maple, her woven quiver full of arrows of willow and eagle feathers, and a rapier of iron and gold. She then grabbed the sheath and belt that held her money pouch and put them on. She slammed the rapier into the sheath then stole into the night.

She ran into Kalika Woods, home of the wood nymphs and their rulers. The rulers were the Oak and Holly Kings. The queen normally would have asked for passage from the kings, but she didn’t have time for that now. So throughout the journey she would say sorry to the nymphs for disturbing them in the middle of the night.

The queen was almost out of the woods when a great oak tree leaped onto the path. The queen leaped back instantly. In the tree there were a few nests and a couple of hives.

In an old, booming voice it said, “Farina.”

Farina hollered up to the great tree, “I am sorry that I did not ask for passage O Great Oak King!” and with that the Oak King moved a big root over Farina’s head.

“Sorry doesn’t cut it, Farina. You know the rules of my kingdom.”

In expiration Farina explained, “But I got to get to the children before the evil one does.”

As the Oak King was bringing his giant root down Farina was putting up a shield around herself. She closed her eyes to get better concentration. When Farina didn’t feel the root against the shield she took it down. Farina went to look at the king but he was gone. In front of her was the way out of the woods.
Before she exited Farina whispered a quick thank you to the surrounding area hoping the oak king would hear her. To get to the portal Farina wants to use she has to go through a meadow. You maybe thinking what is wrong with going through a measly meadow. Well for one it is the home of the evil one and another it is full of dangerous traps that could either put you in a coma or kill depending if you are human or elf. Farina has to be really careful not to draw attention to herself.
“I do not sense his magical aura so he is either not using magic or he is not here. I hope it is the latter of the possibilities,” Farina walked slowly and carefully through the meadow using her magical senses to tell her where the traps are.

Farina was almost out of the meadow when suddenly a fireball came right at her head. She ducked down just as the ball of fire flew over her head. Farina quickly turned around and saw a figure in a dark robe. Farina could not see his face but his eyes were like mini fireballs.
Farina gasped, “The evil one!”
“You seem shocked to see me Farina or should I say your highness,” the Evil One sneered.
Farina pulled up her shield once more just incase she needed it. Farina made a mad rush to get out of the meadow and she bumped into an invisible wall. She turned around once more to see him coming towards her. He reached out his claw of a hand at her. Farina used blinding light to blind the Evil One. He took the shield down long enough for Farina to escape, so he could concentrate on finding an unblinding spell.
Farina heard him swear as she reached the portal. The portal had almost dissipated by the time she reached it. In the portal she saw two middle schoolers sleeping in their beds. One was a very muscular boy with blond hair and a girl with books in her bed and she also had blond hair. The children looked almost exactly the same.
“These are the children and I am the one to make them face their destiny,” and with that Farina jumped through the portal as it finally disappeared. As she exited the portal there was glass everywhere because the window had shattered and there was four pair of eyes looking at her.
